@debeguiled, after 25 years of Madness? Oh yeah, I don't plan on coming off of these anytime soon. When your world has been cuckoo for 20 years and it stabilizes because of a little SSRI, you need a good year or two to reinterpret reality. I know an ex alcoholic who is going through the same thing, reinterpreting her reality with no alcohol in the way. I don't know of any speeding this up technique, or toughing it out technique, it's a matter of just walking through the world with a completely different emotional state and instead of thinking this street is gross, you think the street it's okay oh, those are nice trees also! And you do this hundreds of times until your brain rewires into a more positive thinking operating system.

So how long have you been on them? I am curious because I was on an anti-depressant for two years, going to a therapist for the same time, and just came off them a few months ago with trepidation, but things have been better and I am hearing birds chirping for the first time in years. I literally wasn't hearing them before.

Next is noticing flowers, but I don't want to get too crazy.

I've been on these for 5 years now, and it's funny because I did notice the birds chirping yesterday morning! I have tried many ssris, I found that Paxil was just awful, stopped my brain in its tracks, a very strange sensation, and Prozac is different than Paxil and Effexor is different than Prozac and my chemical makeup is different from yours, and our environments are different too. I have been thinking of coming off of these however, maybe in the next year I'll start very very slowly coming off of them. Good to hear you're hearing birds! Presuming they actually exist, if not, ummmm, yeah.

The CEO fucked up.

Anyone who mixes personal desires at work is going to get the company into trouble. This CEO crossed the line and lost $11 million. Work must be sterile and focus only on work. No chit chat. Once you leave work, you can go to a strip bar.

This reminds me of the engineering manager at Uber who asked a female subordinate if she was into polyamory. Workers need make work work and go day game strangers during lunch break. This will help the company avoid litigation.

I think some men behave like work allows them to hit on girls, because they can't escape. They don't have the confidence to attract girls IRL. If guys can meet / bang girls outside of work, then they would avoid this issue from the onset.

When I go to meetings, I keep a safe distance with women and don't comment on their appearance. I talk about the weather.
