Bad family news

My original post is #15. I merged the straggler thread that was auto-created.

I posted today that my younger sister died of cancer. It's a difficult time for me so I won't be around as much for a while. Soma is holding down the fort.

I am very sad to hear you lost your sister at such a young age.
My condolences to you and your family Roosh.

In the olden days, people who lost a close friend, relative or loved one would wear a small black ribbon around their upper arm. It was called a black armband. Wikipedia description here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_armband

That way, anyone who met you in real life would know that you were going through a period of serious mourning, and would speak and act accordingly to you, and know to show respect for your very personal loss.

Very sorry to hear of this Roosh, especially for such a young age. I lost my last grand parent on Monday but we were expecting it for 5 years.

Very sorry to hear this. My condolences to you and your family. My older brother also had cancer (lymphoma) and thankfully he survived. But I know the pain and suffering seeing your loved one in pain during chemo, hospital visits, etc... so I can empathize. It takes great courage to fight cancer, no one really understands it unless it happens to them. Best wishes to you and your family.

Cancer is a horrendous disease. There's not an individual in this world who has not been affected by cancer directly or indirectly. Whenever I think of cancer, I think about our priorities as Americans. I hope one day we all as a country have the courage to acknowledge just how messed up our priorities are in this world that we devout more money to fighting useless fucking wars and fighting fake foes and "terrorism" than we do to fighting something that literally kills hundreds of people a day and that's cancer.

Hopefully one day our politicians get their priorities straight.

In Serbia lots of the people still practice wearing all black when an immediate family member dies (especially if they die before their time).

I am so sorry to hear this Roosh. Your writing has had a great impact on my life, and I remember several anecdotes in your travel stories about your sister back home. I know she meant the world to you.

I'm sorry. Losing someone close, especially that way and that young, is a lot of pain. I'm not an OG forum member, but I'll pile on to what they said: we're all on your team and you can send a message if you need somebody to listen.
