I have gotten caught, and this hubby was a fairly high powered criminal attorney. Him and the babe were up to that point sleeping in separate bedrooms, but then they started to sleep together again. And that was basically it for me. But he didn't come after me, or send some proxies, and let me tell you, with his clients, I bet he has some really nefarious connections.

This is a good point right here. I used to ask several other people for advice because I was insecure but now I ask because most of the time there is a better way of doing things.

First name is the most I give them. I use Google Voice phone number to text/call, email address that does not have my full name in it, etc. And I do not send them my picture electronically. My rationale for all this is if they're husband grabs their phone one day, or logs into the email account, he'll have next to nothing to go off of to find me.

If he's just former regular Army however (about 2/3 of active duty soldiers don't have combat related jobs; mechanics, supply, cooks etc...), you may not have too much to worry about, a lot of betas join up thinking the Army will instantly make them men (it doesn't), and end up marrying the first girl that fucks them at AIT or their first duty station. Unsurprisingly, a lot of Army wives are huge whores that fuck around on their husbands constantly during deployments or field training exercises.

When he was back in Spain with the kids (she stayed behind to take college courses to go back to teaching - she needed more credits), I rolled out and spend days in his house, fucking in the bed his kids were conceived in).
