I noticed the "Everything is Going Great in the World" Crowd has gotten a lot quieter

In my personal life, things are going well. But, overall, things in America, and the world, do not seem so peachy. The world is on a precipice. I noticed on this forum, other places on the internet, and real life, as little back as this summer, there were many people talking about how people who think the world is doing poorly, or the economy is doing poorly, or people who are preppers, are crazy, but I don't hear those voices much anymore.

Even my own parents have gone from being bewildered about my gun ownership and prepping ideas, to buying a gun themselves, and thinking about doing more prepping.

Liberals have started to sort of mumble their way through conversations about the war in Syria and economics whereas before they were confidently screaming, "The economy is doing great and Obama has brought us all together," now, they are sort of just going through the motions. Their anger and resentment is still there, but doubt in the supremacism of the system and leaders they submit too seems to be setting in.

The ridiculous college protests, the "safe space" bullshit, the disastrous middle east mess, and the facts on the ground concerning the reality of the economy for most people, it hasn't effected everybody, but everyone knows somebody not doing well, is sort of creating a lot of private angst amongst those who once had absolute faith in the system.

Thoughts and ideas are starting to take root among young people that are completely antagonistic to the system, in large numbers.

The system needs faith in it more than anything to survive. It seems to me that that faith is getting more and more tested recently.

Remember, the media doesn't report on everything and certain events that could be happening right now, everyone on this forum could be completely oblivious too. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a massive silent tax protest going on, or if there is a catastrophe about to happen that the government is knowledgeable of.

We talk a lot about "Mad Max" style events going down, but honestly, the movies don't seem so far fetched with where things are headed.

Reality always bites back, but I'd have to say there's still some patriarchal foundations lying underneath the metric half-ton of bullshit that feminism has heaped atop it.

When the economy tanks, or if there's a major civil war, all these luxury viewpoints - transgender sensitivity, gender pay ratios, quarterlife crises - they all get put on mute around the time people realise that the government in fact does not have the answers and does not give a fuck about them. At that point, society turns to results-oriented men to save it.

Not consciously, I might add. Never expect an apology; never expect a single feminist academic, male or female, to say openly that they were wrong about feminism or about their leftie viewpoints. People's egos are too big for that. Where went feminism and bachelor taxes around the fall of Rome, circa 476 AD, given (doubtless) all of the debate around it that surely occupied men in togas before giving in to it?

Insofar as you get an apology, expect it only in the history books, in those texts authored a few decades from now and which dispassionately say 'It is difficult to say why exactly feminism lost its allure in the Great Muslim Rape Of The West, but it is a matter of historical record that the view died out/became unpopular/was discredited around the early stages of our latest epoch.'

Remissas, discite, vivet.

When has the world NOT been on a precipice?

From my point of view, the overriding issue is each of us is always on a precipice, we think of our lives going on indefinitely, but one little blood vessel pops or chemical metabolism thing goes wrong and you disappear early.

From the dying person's POV, the world ends. That's what people mistake for thinking the world is going to end.
It's going to be here after we're gone.

Even in my youth and formative teenage years, I never had that feeling over being over a precipice. I knew the world was getting screwed up but at the same time I knew it wouldn't snap.

Frankly I still think the world has some ways to go before that. Things are going to get bad probably in the form of an economic collapse and then the powers that be and dumb sheeple are going to double down on the disastrous policies that lead us here. Somewhere along the line, a true socialist paradise will emerge and a solid 80% of the people will be destitute. Not to mention there will be gobs of 3rd world trash walking around europe at this point. Hopefully something will stop that in the interim.

Then something will happen. We've still got about 9 years left before something truly interesting will happen.

Kinda reminds me of the way the end of the flapper girls of the 1920s is recorded. It's basically dispassionately written as, "the Great Depression of the 1930s made flappers unfashionable."

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flapper

Of course wikipedia currently holds flappers up as a symbol of "women's rights." Good luck with that when history unfortunately records the "infidel purges."

"If you don't like it, leave."

That's what I did and my happiness has been restored. Will I ever go back to the US?
- NO. The US doesn't come out ahead of Ukraine on anything that concerns me.

I don't believe the world is on a precipice.

I think if you gathered a lot of young men who aren't violent thugs in countries like Britain, you would probably see a lot of them un-willing to fight for their country in order to save it. I would rather go to Asia than fight for this country.

The ones who do are horribly naive. The country you would be saving is those run by bankers, corporations, migrants, criminals and the government. You are a tool to be used and thrown away.

I read a lot of Martin Armstrong and he's pointed out that 2023-2024 are pivotal years. Basically a lot of volatility coming up into that year.

We are in a transition period. Throughout history, civilizations go through periods of transformation. They begin through struggle, revolution, or conquest. They enter a period of growth, followed by a golden age. Eventually the society becomes complacent, and abandons the customs that made them great in the first place. Decadence arises, and the rot sets in.

We're far into the decadence phase now. Nearly all western countries are indebting themselves at record pace, and real interest rates are negative. The collapse is the final stage, and I believe we'll see it in our generation. This will usher in an age of struggle and survival, and all the feminism and associated bullshit will be washed away by necessity. Times will be rough, but a period of growth will follow, and... ad infinitum

The 1980s had Reagan, Thatcher and Pope John Paul.

After next November, we'll have Trump, Putin and Netanyahu.

I'm cautiously optimistic for the future.

Sad, but true. I spent the better part of a decade in uniform and now I see my country giving away citizenship like candy, never mind to the usual migrants from south of the border, but to unvetted "refugees," ostensibly from Syria. Nobody has any say in what the Obama administration does, not the cities, not the states, and certainly not the individuals. They are stuffing communities in a deliberate attempt at disrupting the culture and ensuring a dependent class of lemmings. If borders don't exist and citizenship doesn't mean anything, you don't have a country anymore. Without a country, what the hell is a conservative actually conserving?

As for signs people are not acting rosy about the future, there has been a trend lately - that of rich people dressing down. I see this with tech people a lot, a-la, Zuckerberg, who don't dress flashy supposedly because that's not their style. I suspect that the reality is they don't want to catch hell from all their less fortunate SJW ilk.

I believe a catastrophe is down the road a bit. A huge world changing motherfucker kind of event will disrupt alot of the worlds bullshit plans. It could be man made or natural. What will complicate it to a Biblical level is there is NO food to be had outside of the current economy. Foraging for food will not work.
We are due for a global ass kicking sooner or later.

I think most people that say "Everything is Going Great In the World" are speaking mostly about the quality of life that individual men are able to attain. And in that respect, I agree.

The world has always been on the precipice. You think things are bad now? Look at European history from the 1500s up until WWII. It's a nonstop account of misery, disease, torture, genocide, infanticide, rape, every travesty and unthinkable offense that humans are capable of committing. It amuses me to think about how European history was summarized in high school history. Young people grow up and take a trip to Europe and see it as this progressive and socially advanced place and have no clue how much blood has been spilled to make it so.

Everything is certainly not going great in the world, but there has most certainly never been a greater time to be alive. It's easy to fantasize about being around during the Italian Renaissance, but when you consider that the life expectancy around that time was 35-40, I'm happy in 2015 thanks. I get to enjoy the artwork and culture from 1685 (the birth of Bach) all the way up to Stravinsky's death.

The liberal/SJW/NWO/kumbaya fantasy that started with Zerobama's getting elected has been a complete, total and absolute disaster, as planned, since the first second.

I get a smile when I see the "Obama's fleets of flying unicorns are going to shit Skittles" types in misery, now that even the blindest of these fucktards can see what a disaster their "messiah" is.

Fuck them all. I wouldn't piss on them if they were on fire.

Veloce: Life expectancy is mostly a measure of birth death rates. If you made it to 20, you'd probably make it to 60. People didnt just drop dead in their 30's.

Yeah absolutely, it's child/infant mortality that so skews historical records.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere credible that, as you say if you made it past the early years, your life expectancy was pretty much what it is today, give or take.

But remember, these same people are the ones who are firmly in power right now, and will do whatever it takes to get Hitlery or Sanders in office, even if they have to kill the opposition. We're not that far away from that.

Yes and no. We certainly live in the safest, most convenient environment in human history. We are surrounded with wondrous technology and endless hedonistic pleasures. But despite all these distractions, the truly satisfying pursuits of life have been hollowed out and discouraged.

Women have been reduced to sexual commodities, and marriage has been turned into the greatest legal and financial risk a man could ever undertake. Men of the past faced plagues, wars, and a life of hard labor. But through it all, most of them had a feminine wife who would have a warm meal and a tidy home ready for him when he returned. We've gained much, but at the expense of what truly matters.
