It’s so America-centric because America invented forums. Also game. Also most cool stuff ever, and the rest were invented in Europe.

Roosh grew it by using hate-bait marketing.  He published Tuthmosis' "5 Reasons to Date a Girl with an Eating Disorder", "Girls with Short Hair Are Damaged", and "24 Signs She's a Slut".  The resulting outrage on social media drove traffic to the blog and forum.  Forum veterans knew it was all trolling.

But Roosh relied on the goodwill of free social media and payment sites.  Eventually Roosh went too far by adapting Jonathan Swift's "Modest Proposal" to "How to Stop Rate" (by legalizing it on private property).  David Futrelle blogged about his potential "rape guides" in 2015, and the SPLC added him to a list in 2018.  This got him banned from Paypal, and his books with rapey passages got banned from Amazon.  Those sites did not make much money from him, and did not want the bad publicity of selling "rape guides".  It is one thing to have a few ambiguous passages like "she initially said no, but then had sex."  But many forum participants and PUA's had criminal sexual assault charges, including Vorkuta, MikeCF, JMULV, and two Efficient Pickup instructors.  Amazon was generous in not banning his other books (such as Bang).

Roosh and Roissy hung out at the same D.C. bars.  This was an American forum.

What do you know about JMULV? I had this guy on my facebook and knew him second hand only. Never met him. Knew someone who had big numbers that went out with him a lot in Vegas.

From my point of view JMULV looked pretty alcoholic. Massive alcholic actually. Seem to clean up his act eventually and get fit. Maybe quit booze and got on the juce instead. This is just me looking from afar at what he put up.

Think he was saying he was doing 300+ lays which for a straight non-celebrity male who looks like him is a very big claim. I am innately sceptical but I am inclined to believe he did indeed rack up significant numbers because a guy I knew who did the same vouched for him

He vouched for very few people.

Was he convicted of sexual assault? I've not heard of that but given his degenerate nihilistic alcholic persona with that many lays it wouldn't surprise me if he ran himself into trouble.

If so that is dark and pretty sad to hear.
