If it wasn't too awkward to fuck in it, I would say a red ball chair.

Bachelor Furniture - Chad Daring - 11-27-2011

I'm talking to a guy on craigs list thats selling a wrought iron and cherry wood sofa table, perfect to put a mini fridge next to, and one of those globe bars on top. with room for some glass decanters, a shaker, and a few nice cocktail glasses on the side.

Fuck the $150 price tag, I bet I could make this with $15 and a trip to home depot. Some pipe fittings, a tube of locktite, and then go to walmart and buy a cheap desk lamp and thread it through the center.

There are some good blogs that can help out--- apartmentherapy and ikeahacker come to mind.

Just be innovative. Have a lot of houseplants, learn to sandpaper and repaint stuff from craigslist, etc.

Bachelor Furniture - Chad Daring - 11-27-2011

Im pretty capable with my hands, and yeah CL seems to be a good source of cheap quality furniture if you're lucky. It seems making some stuff isn't that hard, I just need inspiration. I'll report back with my success (or failure) with the pipework lamp in the next few days, hell maybe I can turn this into a lucrative hobby.

Bachelor Furniture - Screwston - 11-28-2011

I want a globe table so bad. I wish they had them as full coffee tables instead of a mini bar.

Bachelor Furniture - Chad Daring - 11-29-2011

Alright got my bar moving along, waiting for some stuff to be delivered and some booze to be bought then I'll be golden.

Priced out what it would cost to build a pipework desk lamp myself, looks to be about $50 if I use black iron pipe fittings, though I could do it much cheaper with plastic, then just paint the whole thing with hammered finished spray paint, still deciding.

What about laundry? My laundry baskets are a little two "freshman year"

Bachelor Furniture - Screwston - 11-30-2011

I wouldn't even worry about a nice laundry basket. Who sees that shit anyways? Has anyone ever seen those globe tables, but something bigger like coffee size?

Bachelor Furniture - Chad Daring - 11-30-2011

Check Amazon I saw a few larger ones there.

Bachelor Furniture - Screwston - 11-30-2011

Chad what'd you search for on amazon? I can't find any.

Do y'all prefer chairs, beds, or couches for fucking? I'm thinking about getting a cheap chair strictly for sex. I always use an older couch but its to soft and its easy to sink in.

Thats the one I had in mind when you said you wanted a full sized one.

You want a good sex chair, go get the wedge section of an L shaped sectional sofa.

I stumbled on this when I was in college and scrounging for furniture. It fits nicely in a corner, and because of the shape you can sit on it firmly and put your legs on either side of the point and get good footing while keeping your hips wide.

i can only find custom made tables. i might have to make one myself.

Stage one of my home built pipework lamp, just about $30 at home depot for all the pieces plus a tube of locktite to hold it together. I'm going to go to walmart or some other emporium of cheap shit to find a lamp with a small enough socket to fit entirely in opening then cut the line, thread it through, and then re connect the plug on the other end and run it out one of the feet.

So four people can smoke off that at the same time right?

I'm not sure if these two words can cohabitate the same sentence but what about a manly wall-hanging? I've got a mounting bracket for a flat screen occupying the space just above my bar and I need to cover it

Bachelor Furniture - BostonBMW - 12-08-2011

So I got a few things that the chicas appreciate:

- Full Size bed: A little smaller than a Queen but definitely larger than a twin bed.
- Good Sheets and a warm comforter (I live in Boston and this is December [Image: biggrin.gif])
- A small leather sectional ($300-$400)
- Multiple Lamps, mood lighting
- A nice sound system

Bachelor Furniture - defguy - 12-10-2011

Im getting a sex swing for my pad when I change apartments in 2 months. Anybody else on this forum have a sex swing?

Oh the things I do for you Mr. Daring. Check these pimp pieces out:

These will add "functioning depth" to your room and make the room feel more alive.

Bachelor Furniture - Chad Daring - 12-11-2011

I like the second one, but thats way to rich for my blood. Im trying to swank on a budget here! It would stand out to much at my place too. Given the state of the rest of my furniture it'd scream "trying to hard to be cool" I found a framed canvas print of the painting Nighthawks for $50, if its still on Amazon after Xmas I'll probably get it
