Elizabeth Warren
@ewarren
Quote:Quote:

Every vote matters. We need to get rid of the Electoral College so that presidential candidates have to ask every American in every part of the country for their vote, not just those in battleground states. #WarrenTownHall

Hmmm.
Another thought. Perhaps the DNC are running so many unlikely & non viable candidates cause each one is supposed to die on a 'political' sword, instead of the main candidate.
Whether it's Warren here on removing the Electoral College or Yang on UBI or Sanders on medical aid for all.

Each candidate is there to trumpet a distinctly Soycialist policy, so as to get the ideas into the minds of Democrat voters, then once the next Democrat POTUS is put in place.
The Useful Idiot NPC's will already be chanting to remove the electoral college or to instill UBI or for medical aid for all.

^ people are starting to wonder why they can't get affordable health care when we're giving away $4 billion to Israel every year and other such nonsense.

Bottom line is we want our Yang bux.

As someone in the UK, can someone explain why it's such a contentious or expensive issue to have universal healthcare in the US? So much money is being wasted on other endeavours (as has been pointed out; Israel).

If it's a question of government fucking up universal healthcare with long wait times, etc, then you can go private if you want, but wouldn't it be nice to have universal healthcare as a safety net for all citizens, even if it's not run perfectly?

As a UK citizen I've never had an issue with the system here. If I want to see a doctor I can phone today and see one in a few days. If I phone and say it's an emergency, I see one in an hour. Prescriptions, appointments, treatment: all "free" for taxpayers.

There are issues with beds, wait times for operations, etc, but nobody I know or nobody in my immediate family has been negatively effected by the NHS. Nobody I know has died while waiting for an operation; but I do know of people in the US who have died as a result of treatment being approved way too late by their insurance provider.

OK, so here's the deal with universal healthcare that people outside the US don't get.

The US government is staffed by people who are stupid, and who hate you.
They haven't met you yet, but they hate you. And not only do they hate you, they're also the dumbest fucks on the planet. Anybody with a brain in the US goes private sector, so the government is filled with the dumbest, most bureaucratically-hide-bound people imaginable. They will follow procedure to the letter, and then they will misunderstand that procedure.

Your average American interacts with the US government in three main ways:
The Internal Revenue Service (Taxes): Legendarily horrifying. Nobody understands our tax system at all, and everyone lives in fear of the IRS. Americans pay millions and millions of dollars a year in "audit insurance", even if their taxes are so simple they can be done on the back of a napkin. We are scared to death of the IRS.

The Department/Bureau of Motor Vehicles: Legendarily incompetent. "DMV" has been a synonym for long lines, terrible service, and lazy employees for as long as I've been alive. Everyone hates them. Saying that you have to go to the DMV is a good way to get anybody, no matter who they are, to feel sympathy for you.

The Police: The police in the US can taze you in the balls repeatedly, for no reason, and suffer minimal consequences if any for it. If they decide they don't like you, they can just send you to jail or beat you up. Doesn't really matter what you did or didn't do.

There's other ways we interact with the gov't too, and they're all about as bad. Jury duty (Ripped from your job, forced to go to a sketchy area downtown, and paid a pittance. If you're super unlucky you might not even be allowed to go home until the trial's over) or maybe the department of homeland airport security checkpoints. There, they will literally molest you in public, just as part of the security procedures.

Now imagine this seething morass of hatred and idiocy, except it also has the power to determine whether or not you live or die from cancer.

That's why a lot of Americans don't want single payer.

All of your points are absolutely valid. But how is an insurance-based system any better? The whole point of insurance companies is the maximisation of profits by ensuring they don't have to pay out any of the money you've paid in. Your death is economically a better option for them if the cost of your treatment fails to meet a criteria they've chosen to ensure they get richer as opposed to poorer.

Predicitons for Democrat candidate in 2020? - Leonard D Neubache - 03-19-2019

Most countries that have single government payer health care instituted that system in a time before their nations became a mess of competing corporate warlords.

These systems work more or less and only the most die-hard lolbertarians want them to be dismantled. Their growing inefficiencies and failures are in essence a mere reflection of our steadily debased quality of citizen rather than a flaw in the original concept.

Unfortunately you couldn't attempt to put that in place in America now. Corporations have such an intense stranglehold on DC that if you put a single payer system in place then GE-Healthcare would end up getting paid $100k for a catscan while the guy they used it to find cancer in would die two years later waiting for surgery.

Predicitons for Democrat candidate in 2020? - putos - 03-19-2019

Bernie Sanders will be the Democratic nominee. He has the whole leftist base around him. He has the name recognition and the crowds and momentum on his side.

Kamala Harris will give Bernie a run for his money but it won’t be enough.

Corey Booker has no chance. Too corporist.

Julian Castro no chance. Too corporist and will probably lose Florida because of his last name

Elizabeth Warren will also give Bernie a run for his money but it won’t be enough.

Tulsi Gabbard is similiar to Bernie but she has no name recognition the way Bernie does.

Andrew Yang is good but name recognition will kill him.

If I was a betting man I will say Bernie Sanders will win the nomination and probably will win the general and defeat Trump. Millennials stayed home in 2016. Bernie will definitely win the rust belt and have millennials go out and vote for him.

Predicitons for Democrat candidate in 2020? - Deepdiver - 03-19-2019

The Tipping point is likely already passed due to the Corporate Healthcare and Huge Pharma corrupt lobbying of all US House and Senate members. The MSM Networks and On-Line Social/Google Media make massive profits off off Healthcare, Medicare Supplemental and Health Insurance and Big Pharma multi-Billion USD advertising budgets just to increase crucial meds by multiple price factors - EpiPens and diabetes pens increased by 10X or more... pure total non-competitive greed.

I am a proponent of free markets which have brought us high-quality PCs and Handheld Smartphones and high-performance broadband and cell nets - yet Universities and their Healthcare-associated Colleges and Spawn of Satan Students are NOT competing and just the opposite obstructing Competition in numerous creative ways and are likely single-handedly responsible for the Socialists AOC/Beto/Warren/Bernie et.al. Gimmedats Revolution - at this point the only free market solution was Trumps original proposals to implement cross state borders competition that the recipients of lobbyists largesse in the DNC and RNC Dems and Gops hooked on unlimited Lobbyists "donations" now more than ever just bribes have fought tooth and nail with no traction by Trump in 2 years so now socialized single payer seems to the majority of Democrat and Independent voters to be the only way to shaft the rampant greed in the Healthcare, Insurance and Mega Pharma industries...

I really have no sympathy for these anti-free market phocks. They had their chance with Trump and decided to kick him in the proverbial balls and spit on him instead. So facing facts Medicare for All is a likely outcome...

Knock Knock Who's There?

BETO - the younger millennial gina-tingles generating more charismatic Bernie with more Gimmedats for all than you can think of... and a Billionaire Heiress wife.

Will be interesting to see what sort of Scott Adams iterated "Linguistic Kill Shots" Trump comes up with for this year's crop of Green New Steal psycho-sociopath marxist-socialists.

Predicitons for Democrat candidate in 2020? - [email protected] - 03-20-2019

Beto is beta. People don't vote for weak men. Same reason Bernie has no shot (he lost to Hillary). Warren with her anti-rich sentiment makes her unpalatable. She will never be president.

Strongest contenders are Harris (doubling down on identity politics) and Biden. Yang is good dark horse candidate with his UBI proposal that will never happen.

Unless the democrats go hard left they don't have a shot at beating Trump. The same old corporate feel good shit isn't going to cut it. They will have to make empty promises of gibs they can never deliver on. They have to sing the tune of class warfare against the rich without being disqualified by their wealthy donors. You need charisma and persuasiveness to pull it off and none of the Dems have it. Trump wins.

I’ll take a guy that talks about grabbing pussy over a guy that actually eats dirt any day of the week.

Beto O'Rourke ate dirt after losing to Ted Cruz

2020 presidential candidate Beto O'Rourke ate dirt after losing his Senate race against incumbent Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, last year.

The revelation comes in a lengthy Washington Post report which divulged new details on the road trip the former congressman took after his defeat in the midterm elections and the ensuing "funk."

During a January stop in New Mexico which did not make it into his blog, O'Rourke, 46, ate the local dirt, which the report said is believed to have "regenerative powers."

That said Run BETO Run - give Bernie, Wackohontas, #YangBuxBags and the rest of the AOC Green New Stealing Dems a run for their money. Man how I love a leftists circular firing squad.

If she put one tenth of that forcefulness into say, standing against the military industrial complex or wall street, she'd win with numbers that would make Reagan vs. Mondale look like Bush vs. Gore.

Instead she virtue-signals against a bunch of people who sit on the internet and post memes at each other all day.

No shit. Here in California we have the closest thing to single payer you can find, and yes, they will simply: Let. You. Die.

I lived through it. I can't explain it to anybody in my (mostly liberal) circles because it contradicts their internal narrative. They really believe that doctors will "try" to save you, "try everything they can". "Just go back and find another doctor" they used to tell me when I was sick.

I would try to explain that the health care plan: Would. Not. Schedule. They simply stopped allowing me to go to any new specialists. They would not provide any further care. People think that health plans "have to" keep providing care. They don't. They just stop treating you. Then you die.

I've stopped debating anybody about how to to fix the US healthcare system.

Yes I agree, Kamala will win the minority votes because she's Blackish, and the Boss Jews of the Dems like her because she has a track record of throwing Blacks in jail. In other words, she's a heavy handed leftist who has a proven record of using her authority like a baseball bat to beat down anyone not complying with the smallest of laws (she threatened, and prosecuted, Black parents with jail time if they did not take their kids to school).

She is the perfect tool to keep the gibs train in the Dem party under control. She is controlled opposition for non-Whites and she will win the Dem primary handedly.

The rest of her policies are basically no different than whatever socialism flavor of the month is out there, which will be used to justify more taxes on Whites or other productive members of America. All a huge scam and Kamala is happy to play along.

Chinese Govt Gives 1.5 BILLION Dollars to Joe Biden's Son Hunter Biden, while Joe was VP in 2013

https://www.breitbart.com/clips/2019/03/...h-his-son/

“In December of 2013, Hunter Biden flies on Air Force 2 to Beijing, China, with his father. His father meets with Chinese officials, he’s very soft on Beijing. The most important thing that happens happens 10 days after they return. And that’s when Hunter Biden’s small, private equity firm called Rosemont Seneca Partners gets a $1 billion private equity deal with the Chinese government, not with the Chinese corporation, with the government. And what people need to realize is Hunter Biden has no background in China, he has no background in private equity, the deal he got in the Shanghai free-trade zone, nobody else had. Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Blackstone, nobody had this deal.”

He continued, “[I]t’s very, very clear and that’s the first of a series of deals that Hunter Biden strikes with the Chinese government, so there’s no question, when you chart what Joe Biden is doing with China, the meetings he’s having, and the deals that his sign is procuring at the same time, that they are buying off Biden through his son. I think it’s crystal clear.”

Schweizer added that “this is the tip of the iceberg” of what was “going on while Joe Biden is vice president steering foreign policy.”

5 ‘Secret Empires’ Bombshell Revelations
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2018/...velations/

1. Biden’s Son’s Firm Scored a $1.5 Billion Deal with the Bank of China 10 Days After Joe Biden and His Son Flew to China Aboard Air Force Two

As an exclusive New York Post excerpt reveals, Secret Empires uncovers the previously unreported Biden China deal. Schweizer reports that in 2013, Joe Biden’s son Hunter Biden’s firm signed a billion-dollar deal with a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China ten days after Joe and Hunter Biden flew to China aboard Air Force Two. The newly formed investment fund is called Bohai Harvest RST. In a SiriusXM Breitbart News Tonight radio interview, Schweizer explained how the Biden-China deal unfolded:

“In December of 2013, Vice President Joe Biden flies to Asia for a trip, and the centerpiece for that trip is a visit to Beijing, China,” said Schweizer. “To put this into context, in 2013, the Chinese have just exerted air rights over the South Pacific, the South China Sea. They basically have said, ‘If you want to fly in this area, you have to get Chinese approval. We are claiming sovereignty over this territory.’ Highly controversial in Japan, in the Philippines, and in other countries. Joe Biden is supposed to be going there to confront the Chinese. Well, he gets widely criticized on that trip for going soft on China. So basically, no challenging them, and Japan and other countries are quite upset about this.”

Elaborating, Schweizer said, “Well, I think the reason he goes soft on China is because with him on that trip, flying on Air Force Two, is his son Hunter Biden, and ten days after they return from China, Hunter Biden — who has this small firm, he has no background in private equity, he has no background in Chinese finance — gets a whopping $1.5 billion deal from the Chinese government. This is the Chinese government giving Joe Biden and a [John] Kerry confidante the management over this money, and they made huge fees off of this money, and it’s an example of this kind of corruption. That’s the first of three major deals that the Chinese government does with people who are either the children — that is the sons — or close aides to Vice President Biden or Secretary of State John Kerry.”

2. The China-Backed Investment Fund Invested in Dual-Use Military Technology

As Schweizer explains: “So [Hunter Biden’s firm] get this $1.5 billion to invest, and what they are supposed to do is basically invest in companies that benefit the Chinese government,” stated Schweizer. “So just think about this for a second. This is the vice president of the United States whose father is supposed to be commanding American presence and power in the Pacific to deal with the rising challenge from China, and his son is investing $1.5 billion of Chinese government money. So what do they do? They invest in an American high-precision tools company called Henniges, which used to be owned by Rocket Company, but they produce anti-vibration technologies which have a dual-use application, so this transaction actually requires the approval of the federal government, as it has national security implications. So again, the vice president’s son is helping the Chinese government take over a dual-use military technology-related company called Henniges.”

3. The Obama Justice Department Charged One of the Companies with Stealing U.S. Nuclear Secrets

“But it gets even worse because another investment that they make is in something called CGN—China General Nuclear—which is an atomic power company,” says Schweizer. “They invest in this company in 2014. A year later, what happens? The FBI arrests and charges senior officials in this company with stealing nuclear secrets in the United States. Specifically, they’re trying to get access to something called the AP-1000 nuclear reactor that is very similar to the ones that we put on U.S. submarines. So again, you have the son of the vice president, a close aide to the secretary of state who are investing in a company that is trying to steal nuclear secrets in the United States. It’s a stunning story, and here’s the thing: none of this is required to be disclosed because they’ve figured out a way to get around these disclosure laws.”

4. Mitch McConnell and His Wife Elaine Chao Received a $5 Million to $25 Million Gift from a Family Member Who Sat on the Board of a Top Chinese Government Military Contractor

According to Secret Empires, in 1993, just months after Mitch McConnell married Elaine Chao (the current Secretary of Transportation), the senator and his father-in-law, James Chao, flew to China. Chao is the owner of Foremost Group, a shipping company that has done substantial business with the state-owned China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC). The two men went to Beijing at CSSC’s invitation and had a meeting with a classmate of Chao’s, Chinese President Jiang Zemin. Schweizer says McConnell was only the second Republican senator to visit China since the Tiananmen Square massacre.

“McConnell’s rhetoric and policy toward mainland China softened in the decades that followed,” writes Schweizer, before citing several policy examples. “As McConnell gained political weight on Capitol Hill and his position toward China softened, the Chao family saw its business ties with the Chinese government increase dramatically—to their financial benefit.”

Starting in 2007, “just as the U.S. Senate was taking up sensitive legislation concerning China,” Schweizer writes that the Chinese government’s CSSC Holdings, Ltd.—the financial arm of the Chinese government’s military contractor CSSC—appointed Mitch McConnell’s father-in-law to its board. CSSC Holdings also added Mitch McConnell’s sister-in-law Angela Chao to the board as well.

“The fact that both the father-in-law and sister-in-law of Senator McConnell sat on the board of CSSC Holdings is highly unusual, to say the least,” writes Schweizer. “One could say it is unprecedented in American political history. In general, CSSC is a sensitive, critical asset of the Chinese government and operates under a veil of privacy and secrecy.”

Then in 2008, following the death of his wife, James Chao gave a gift to Mitch McConnell and Elaine Chao of between $5 million to $25 million, according to Sen. McConnell’s Senate financial disclosure forms. Last week, the New York Post reported on the Secret Empires McConnell revelation and showed its impact on the McConnell family’s net worth: “In 2004, current Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his wife, current US Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao, had an average net worth of $3.1 million.
