Really nobody?

The biggest upset in Super Bowl history:

The intro was amazing:

And the best was that the perfect season remains untouched:

Being an F1 fan, some of the shit from the past was just downright out of this world or just deadly.

Ayrton Senna going round Monaco in the same car as team mate Alain Prost yet explaining his has this out of this world experience (hence why he's nearly a minute ahead in the race which you won't see happen again to be honest), unfortunately he crashes as he's too perfect on the circuit. (check out his qualifying lap videos, pretty scary)

Man I actually got shivers from that one.

This is the definition of not competing against others, but rather competing against yourself.

He kept giving 200% effort even though he was going to win the race regardless. Impossible to give up such a huge lead unless there is a car failure. Unfortunately in the case of such a complex concentration heavy task going at that rate will increase errors, and in this track there are room for none.

Not a "major" moment in the annals of sports history, but one that still hits me in the feels because I was there when it happened:

The catch that saved the first no-hitter in Nationals history.

F1 fan here, there use to be a video of Raikonnen driving flat out at 300 km/h in the rain at Spa.

The visibility is poor to say the least, I guess that is why they call him the Iceman.

First match of the World Cup 2002. Reigning World Champion, European Champion, and accessorily ex Colonial power of Senegal. Only time ever I did not cheer for France.

Not born yet, but a brutal agression during World Cup. No penalty, no red card.

One of the most upsetting moment for France: loss at the last minute, at home, no America for the lads.

^ The Schumacher incident was horrible, how he did not get sent off is beyond me. I love the beautiful game but things like these always makes me feel the football is a dirty business.

I don't know if there any NASCAR fans here, but this race was one of the most memorable ones I have ever watched.

Sport moments that send shivers down your spine - Kamikaze - 11-21-2014

This is one of the greatest moments in the history of basketball. A backdrop:

Two titans of the Western conference were facing off in Game 4 of a tightly contested first round series in 2006. The Los Angeles Clippers, emboldened by their venerable owner Donald Sterling, managed to make the playoffs for the first time in nearly a decade of futility. Here they faced the Denver Nuggets, led by a svelte Carmelo Anthony.

The Clippers, the 6th seed in the WC, were improbably up 2-1 heading into Game 4 at LA against the 3rd seed Nuggets. In danger of going down 3-1 on the road, the Nuggets had their backs against the ropes.

The Clippers started off well, and were leading by 5 in the 2nd quarter. The game was getting away from the Nuggets, and Reggie Evans knew it. All the hard work put in during the season, going down the drain. As Chris Kaman boxed Evans out for a rebound, desperation set in.

Chris Kaman later admitted that although he was angered by the affront of Reggie Evans, he was more confused by the fact that he was half-chubbed. He explained that he pushed Evans because it was a "poor time to be questioning his sexuality" [in the middle of a playoff game, I presume]. Despite this confusing time, the Clippers pulled out the win in Game 4, and closed the junk-grabbing Nuggets in Game 5.

Sources say that Evans came to the locker room to apologize to Kaman at the end of their series. Apparently Evans offered to touch penises with Kaman, as a formal apology for his jailhouse tactics in Game 4. Kaman declined, and Evans was scared off by Sam Cassell grinning in a towel too small for his alien body.

The Clippers, galvanized by Kaman's traumatic experience, rallied their ugly-ass team to 7 straight championships, surpassing Jordan's Bulls as the greatest team of the modern era. A moment that truly transformed the NBA as we know it

I still remember watching that live on TV. Dropped my jaw in real time.

It was the first ever delivery from Shane Warne on English soil in a test match, and marked his sudden emergence as a superstar, who would go on to be arguably one of the top 3 bowlers in history. Moreover his style (leg spin) was an arcane art that had been nowhere for several decades before him, it was like seeing a hotshot young sorcerer resurrecting some lost ancient magic.

^That was amazing, he did it again in 2005 I think or was it 2009 to Andrew Strauss, no idea how he gets the ball to do that....

1) Maradona against England. This should need no explanation:

2) Phelps takes down Cavic again.

This has a story before you watch the race. 2009 Swimming World Championship was the championship that allows swimmers to wear a swimsuit that enables them to swim much faster but that swimsuit was announced to be banned after this championship. Most swimmers used these swimsuits and it was ridiculous because world records were broken on the semi-final races and even on the quarter-final races.

Michael Phelps rejects to wear the cheating swimsuit, and his rival Cavic comes to the final race with already breaking Phelps' world record on the semi final races with the cheating swimsuit. Phelps still wins without the cheating swimsuit, showing the world the importance of the heart of a champion:

3) Michael Johnson 200m Final 19.32 - 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

This man carried the 200m world record from 19.72 to 19.32. 200m is such a short distance and improving that record for 0.4 seconds is outstanding and unprecedented:

4) Legendary long jump athletics race between Mike Powell and Carl Lewis, Tokyo, 1991 World Championships. I recommend watching the full race, it was amazing. Men's athletics long jump world record was broken on this race after 23 years and this record is still alive today.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1991_World_..._long_jump

"Since this competition, no athlete, including Powell and Lewis has legally jumped within 20 cm of Powell's world record."

Ball goes through Leon Durham's legs in 1984.

But the only error that ever gets talked about is Bill Buckner's for the Red Sox a couple years later. And before that, he'd been my favorite Cub.

The only version on Youtube is pretty annoying:

Was there, saw it happen in Zaragoza back in 2011. Was quick in person, but so much blood after.

Taylor Robert's segment in Moto 4 where he's riding through a wine vineyard hitting jumps at like 65/70 mph. The music and filming of that segment was just sick. I think even people who aren't into watching motocross would find it beautiful.

I can't find the video of the segment (likely due to copyright) but there's a behind-the-scenes video talking about how they made it:

Sport moments that send shivers down your spine - Sidney Crosby - 11-21-2014

Hardest hitter in NHL history, Scott Stevens' @ the 1 minute it really shows the hit.

This hit ruined Lindros' career. If he stayed healthy his whole career he could have been considered a top 5 forward in NHL history.

Alex Burrows goal, game 7 against Chicago. Keep in mind the Canucks blew a 3-0 series lead, were leading late in the 3rd period of game 7 and Chicago tied it up with a SHG to send it to overtime.

Chicago were also the Canucks arch rival at this time

I remember sitting in lunch at school the day of the Steven's hit. I was talking shit and said "10 minutes into the first period, Lindross is going to come down the middle of the ice and Stevens is going to kill him".

The next day my friends were shaking their heads in disbelief as I sat down at the table. Too bad I didn't have money to bet back then.

Some days when I'm feeling "summery" I watch that clip over and over. Still can't quite believe he did it.

Another great cricketing moment was Lara's 501NO. I was at school at the time and could actually hear the Edgbaston crowd cheering in my classroom!

Side note: McNair, the perfect example of why you do not stick your d*ck in crazy.....

May he rest in peace.

This one is about a tragedy. Pro cricketer Phil Hughes lost his life on Thursday after 2 days of being in an induced coma. The 25 year old Australian was struck on the neck during a match in Sydney. By all accounts this was a highly improbable injury to have occurred especially as he was wearing a protective helmet. What's even stranger is the cause of death in medical terms - he would probably have survived the blow to the neck by itself but it's consequences for his central nervous system were catastrophic.
