Anyone tried giving up coffee?
My dad would give it up once a year and get sick for a day or two (flu-like, headache, etc), but he drank stronger and more coffee than I've ever regularly drank.
I have days when I don't get coffee till late afternoon, sometimes not at all.
I've never had symptoms, but ----vv

How often do you guys drink coffee? I'm making the assumption coffee drinkers drink on a daily basis.
I've always enjoyed coffee, more than just for the benefits of caffeine. For the past several months I've always drank it on a weekly basis, somewhere between 3-4 times a week.
I'd like to drink it daily, one full cup in the morning and that's it.. Would I develop a tolerance, or does that only happen when you drink 2-3 cups daily?
Would I get intense withdrawal symptoms going one day without it?
If there was a coffee newbie thread I'd post there, but this one should suffice ![[Image: angel.gif]](https://rooshvforum.network/images/smilies/angel.gif)
I usually only drink one large 20 oz coffee from a good coffee shop or two Keurig k cups per day.
When I'm with family I'll drink more, and they make stronger stuff...I love drinking coffee, but I hate the effects of caffiene (shaking, etc).
Never had withdrawal symptoms.
Everyone is different, but I'd bet you wouldn't have symptoms.

I'm finding caffeine to be a really interesting thing.
Only on a few occasions do I remember having the jitters effect of caffeine. Maybe it's because I've never drank excessive amounts in a single day.
Every time I drink a cup, I always feel a boost in alertness and focus. Though sometimes, this boost is *much* greater than at other times. Like profoundly, I feel greatly perceptive of my surroundings, but with the option to go full tunnel-vision if I choose to. Seems to be quite random.
I'm going to keep experimenting with caffeine. I remember when I first started drinking on nights out I'd make mental notes of how I felt at different stages of the night, drinking different amounts, how it affected me socially.. Kind of like that, but more specific to caffeine.

The two factors that affect how strongly I feel caffeine are how much caffeine I have been consuming in preceding days and whether or not I have an empty stomach. With low or zero caffeine intake in the preceding days and an empty stomach, when I have a cup I'll get a good coffee buzz. With higher prior caffeine intake and a breakfast burrito in my stomach the buzz will be minial. Quite a big difference.

Gents: Some fairly good ideas here in this thread but who are we kidding? There's only one real way to get your coffee fix...
