By the way, one might want to read the article 187 (numeral 11: 11. Autorizar el empleo de misiones militares venezolanas en el exterior o extranjeras en el país) of the Venezuelan constitution... J. Guaido certainly has read it, and now openly refers to it.

Interestingly, some people from the third-party sunny island had advocated against the inclusion of the numeral 11, as they rightly understood that it might allow for sending sunny-island troops to Venezuela, sure, but also and at some point (and contrarily to the intended original purpose), US troops.

http://constituciondevenezuela.com/articulo-187/

Quick translation: "it corresponds to the national assembly (currently controlled by J. Guaido and his allies), (...) to authorize the use of Venezuelan military missions abroad or the use or foreign military missions in the country"

Thus, no need for any UN security counsel decision.

If you read it you should also find the part where the Vice President is still in power and the random Juan guy is a puppet installed by a country with bigger guns and an urge to use them.

And i have/had a trip booked in 3 weeks. Hopefully, the U.S. gets Maduro out of there now the U.S Embassy in Caracas is out of Venezuela. I've visited Venezuela 5 times in the last year and 1/2 with american airlines.

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-...01139.html

American Airlines stopped service to Venezuela Friday after the U.S. State Department raised the travel advisory to a Level 4 this week, urging U.S. citizens not to travel to the country.

On Thursday, the pilots’ union for American Airlines told pilots to refuse to fly to the country, which is facing international protests against President Nicolás Maduro and widespread power outages and inflation. American said the halt in service is temporary.

Other U.S. and many foreign carriers have stopped flying to Venezuela as the country’s economic and political situation has deteriorated in recent years. American, the largest airline in the U.S., had been operating two daily flights from Miami International Airport to Caracas and one to Maracaibo.

“American will not operate to countries we don’t consider safe,” the airline said in a statement Friday.

Nearby Haiti, which endured days of deadly protests in February, also has a Level 4 travel warning from the State Department. Travel website Expedia and its subsidiaries blocked travelers from booking flights and hotels in Haiti last month. JetBlue, Air Canada, and Air Transat announced they will reduce service to Haiti through April. American Airlines continues its regular service to Haiti.

The decision to halt service to Venezuela comes as American faces an aircraft shortage after the U.S. government grounded the Boeing Max planes, which AA operates on a number of routes. It continues to cancel several daily flights while the Boeing Max technical issues are being addressed.

The US government continues waging a multi-dimensional war against Venezuela.
A massive power outage occurred again in various parts of the Venezuelan capital of Caracas and nearby localities, eyewitnesses of the incident told Sputnik on Monday.
The blackout is reported mainly by the inhabitants of East Caracas, namely the districts of Altamira, La Urbina, El Cafetal, El Rosal, Los Palos Grandes, and others.
In the municipality of Chacao, where a number of foreign embassies and large hotels are located, power outages were registered on Sunday evening. According to a Sputnik correspondent, as of 10.30 a.m. (14.30 GMT), there was no electricity in this part of the city either inside houses or on the street.

Rolling black outs are pretty common in places where there is constant theft of valuable metals along with the draining of expertise.

A buddy of mine just got back from visiting his family in South Africa. Pretty much all his friends and families are having to figure out how to run a business with blackouts being the new normal.

Its strange that energy is one of the first to cause the realization that there is no future for business and enterprise. A stable grid is 100% necessary in order to be functional.

Russia is moving to stop the American-Colombian-Brazilian invasion of Venezuela being waged to seize its mammoth oll reserves and save the petro-dollar.

Two Russian military planes landed in Venezuela's main airport on Saturday, reportedly carrying dozens of troops and large amounts of equipment.

The planes were sent to "fulfil technical military contracts", Russia's Sputnik news agency reported. Javier Mayorca, a Venezuelan journalist, wrote on Twitter that he saw about 100 troops and 35 tonnes of equipment offloaded from the planes. It comes three months after the two nations held joint military exercises.

Russia has long been an ally of Venezuela, lending the South American nation billions of dollars and backing its oil industry and military. Commanding trrops is General Vasily Tonkoshkurov, Supreme Commander of the Russian Army Land Troops, -he's one of the top guys, so Russia is sending a strong message to Mr MAGA.

Man portable ground to ground and ground to air missiles is a safe bet, to be trucked all over the country, trained with and kept in safe spots.

Russians returning the favor for Americans doing the exact same thing in Afghanistan all those years ago.

You probably read about it in the annals of Shit That Isn't Our Problem Quarterly, Volume 63: Who the fuck cares what Russia Does . It's a good mag, lots of great articles.

Venezuela is collapsing - Mekorig - 03-26-2019

Actually, its our problem (we sudacas, you know), when a braindead commie brings "russian military advisors" to the continent, with their background of supporting artificial separatist movements. And yes, we already have evidence of SEBIN guys meeting with the mapuches and other commie shit in the country, and that only in Argentina. There is a very funny anecdote on how some SEBIN guys got in the open in 2014 when one killed another guy over a women here in Buenos Aires. Turn out that they were not oficially listed by the Venezuelan Embassy as oficial agents...ups!

Venezuela is collapsing - Luvianka - 03-26-2019

They don't give up... i'll give you that.
So, now secretary of State, the neoconservative John Bolton, just had a meeting with Brazilian Defense minister to discuss new plans of the invasion of Venezuela. Did Mr MAGA promise a share of Venezuelan oil to Bolsonaro?

Venezuela is collapsing - Foolsgo1d - 03-26-2019

Are there still people who class themselves as well versed who truly believe this isn't a ploy to get the oil and remove Russia and Chinese influence from SA for good?

They made a fuck up. Colombia and Brazil lost their balls and refused to act as launch pads for the US freedom machine and this gave Russia a chance to send in bodyguards and other specialists to assist with security issues.

Now we will see Mr Bolton using his powers of persuasion to get his way so his masters can get Venezuela.

Russia has now shown interest in keeping the status quo so I guess it gets interesting from here.

Russia is not even a state, it’s more or less a dysfonctionnal society that’s talent and history has been robbed by people who don’t care about its people and only further their own interests and this has been going on for 102 years now.

They contribute nothing to the world. Which is a shame because it’s peole have so much potential and good genes.

Not sure why
Some posters here seem happy because mother Russia managed to fly a couple of old planes all the way to Venezuela an accomplishment in itself. China and Russia have no business in the americas from Hudson Bay all the way to the falklands that’s how I see it.

Venezuela is collapsing - Laner - 03-26-2019

Why can't this be as simple as:

- US wants Venezuela to be stable again.
- Brazil wants an end to VZ refugees.
- Colombia wants an end to VZ refugees.
- They have lots of oil, yes, and they can pay for their own stability.

Hope they get their country back. Close family friends grew up there and wax nostalgia for their days there in the 90's. It should not be in the shape it is, and ideally its at the bottom now and everyone can work together - including Russia - to make this a reality.

Venezuela is collapsing - 911 - 03-26-2019

Where did you learn about Russia's history, Curunir? Do you think Trudeau cares about his people more than Putin does, to the point where Junior is aggressively implementing his father's grand replacement plan? Do you think Putin would want that type of demographic warfare on his people?

And have you ever read anything by Solzhenitsyn, and are you familiar with any his work as a historian and gulag survivor?

In any case, I've done a lot more research on Venezuela, talked with many local refugees, including a pretty bright and woke buddy from Maracaibo. The picture is not black and white, the Chavistas do have their warts. I still think the US should stay away and let the economy rot to the point where Venezuelans will vote Maduro out. Any aggressive interventionism will only end up backfiring. People like Bolton and Abrams are too evil and short-sighted to see this.

Those same people fled to America after the Russians finally cottoned on their bullshit and now they're trying to fuck heritage America by sucking it dry too.

True for the most part, but you gotta remember Russia was basically raped and left for dead twice in one century. And I'm not even counting WW2 which left over 25 million dead. What do you expect? It's gonna take time and lots of effort to rebuild, but there's no question that the country is on the right track. On my last visit to Moscow, I was stunned by the level of development, cleanliness of the streets, and things like that. Outer regions - less so.

Also, I'm not sure about Russia contrubuting "nothing". They've churned out tons of physicists, engineers, mathematicians, literary icons, artists, and so on.

Plus the AK.

Baby steps..

Yes, the Koch bros are very important figures in the Venezuela stakes, they own the giant refining operation that process Venezuelan crude in Corpus Christi, TX. I've covered it in this post:

Russia has made invaluable contributions to European and world culture. Only French literature comes close to the Russian body of work in that field. I would guess Curunir has no use for Dostoevsky, Tolstoy or Chekov, or for Tchaikovsky who has almost single-handedly revived and preserved the traditional form of ballet in the West.

The Bolcheviks stunted Russia's culture by literally genociding nearly half of Russia's population, mostly the better, more cultured half of their people, fueled by a deep-seated tribal hatred. If it wasn't for them Russia would have had over 300 million white Christians today, and would be a thriving cultural and economic power on par with China or the US.

I think I made it clear that my comments were post-October revolution Russia and all the way to today. No contestation of how the two world wars, Bolchevism, Stalin or even Putin (who only cares about his bottom line and who has enriched oligarchs who exported capitals out of Russia by about 80 billion) have influenced the condition of Russia today, who is hated by most of its former satellites.

Still, Russia has no business in Venezuela propping up a semi-communist regime that is self-depleting faster than the Russian Ruble.

I worked at one of their fertilizer plants in Manitoba,Canada a couple of years ago, it was a nice facility and super safe, maybe a bit too safe for my liking. I’ve also worked at massive refineries and oil sands mines owned and operated by the scary big oil companies like Exxon, BP, Shell, etc. Hopefully working class Venezuelans never have to live through the horror that I do by working for a large multinational company and in return earning a steady pay cheque, health benefits, pension, etc.
