Most of the 17 points on the list are spot on Pilgrim. Well put. But to simplify things, FOR US MEN, just on the basis of the general quality of life and of the women, the U.S. is simply not worth it, as a country that will make you happy in the LONG RUN. Maybe 30 or 40 yrs ago it far outpaced most countries in economic and financial opportunities. But not anymore. So for what other reason, other than for family or other obligations would there be to live there LONG TERM.
I wonder where most of the serious forum members will be living in their 40´s and 50´s. For me, it certainly WONT be in America the beautiful!!!

I benefitted from the huge economy, optimism and inventiveness of Murka ( The light bulb, telephone, internet, amd integrated circuit...)

Then, because of:

1) Whale-ism ( Thus can't get significantly younger hot chicks)

2) Confiscatory child support (Child support for one child would eat my whole investment income, on which I can survive in Urkaine)

I left, forever until I need some exotic surgery or medical treatment only Murkans or Western Europeans are smart enough to do.

But I keep collecting money from Murka. Thanks guys, keep working hard!!!

Was thinking on India as a long-term option, never been before, but would be nice to live in a country that is on the way up instead of Ukraine which is on it's way to nowhere. I'm also an Entrepreneur so I see a vast amount of business opportunity in India.

Only things i'm put off with are the dirtiness, disease, sickness etc. Plus I would have to take a girl there with me as i'm not attracted to Indian women

Come to Goa, it's crawling with Russians, including a lot of 18-25 year old women who come here for sun and the sea. They are mostly in the 6-7 range looks wise, with some 8s thrown in as well. Haven't seen a Russian 9 here yet, though I am sure they are around. Russians have their own beaches and own parties, you would have to spend time here to get into that circle.

Interesting, do you live there?

Can you give me an idea of costs?

Apartment
1 beer
Average price of meal in restaurant.

Tim Berners-Lee created the first website in 1991

Actually, the first lightbulb was created by an Englishman, Humphrey Davy in 1809

Oh and Tim Berners-Lee created the first website.

The telephone was invented by Bell, a Scotsman.

Anything else you wanna take claim to Murkan?, maybe running water? [Image: smile.gif]

I don't live here, but, I am here at the moment. I will give you the costs in pounds as I gather you are a Brit.

Apartment - If you are going for a long term rental, it's about 200 pounds a month. Short term rentals( 3 to 6 months) - for a fully furnished apartment walking distance to the beach is about 350 pounds a month.

Beer - at a bar about 70p, mixed drinks - 2 pounds. A 1 litre bottle of Indian rum can be bought at any grocery store for about 2 pounds.

Average restaurant meal for 2 - 7 to 10 pounds. If you want to splurge, maybe 30 pounds for 2, that's at a top end 5 star hotel restaurant.

P.s. actually had a date today with a 21 year old Ukrainian girl that I met off Mamba.

Alexander Graham Bell was an American citizen. Using your definition of heritage rather than citizenship, Americans have never invented anything -- because they don't exist.

You are correct about the light bulb, but Thomas Edison invented the first commercially practical incandescent light. The fact that it took seventy years shows how difficult it was to accomplish.
