These forums should be private... All of them, for members only.

I have some VERY juicy stuff to post about my day game experiences, but I don't care to share any of it with fly-by-night wannabe PUAs and random douchebags that'll just be competition.

Not a bad idea.

Plus, Roosh, it would allow you to collect a lot of email addresses for your newsletter and books.

I've always believed in an open system to spread knowledge to anyone who wants it.

The blog is free to all
Anyone can sign up for my newsletter
My book (and even workshop) is very affordable
The forum is completely open

I don't want to create something for only "elite" members. I think everyone should contribute for the greater good of man.

Imagine if I believed that! If I thought of my readers or even students as competition. There would be no community and I would never share my stuff except to desperate rich guys.

In other words you don't want to post information in case it could help somebody impove ?

The people you are labelling as such are "the community". If you don't want to share information with the community then you don't understand why it was started in the first place and you don't really belong in it.

Or do you sign up to community message boards just to value take, leech information and experiences but not share any?

Pua means flower in Hawaiian. I crack out whenever I read it. Its also used as an endearing term for little girls. My gramdma still calls my little sister pua. I landed a 178 lb kajiki this morning with 2 of my cousins. It's bill slit my finger when I was unhooking. I yanked my hand hand back and my cuz says "What, you one pua?"

The pua books circulate amongst sailors like crazy. From what I've read, it seems more and more puas get caught up in the pua concept. I've seen it happen in beautiful locations all over the world. One pua came back to the ship with a bunch of Aussie phone numbers. He couldn't figure out how to call any of them the next day. His cell wasn't international. I wasn't about to help. I told him to consult a pua. He forgot that it is supposed to be a means to an end. All these guys wind up doing is mind fucking a lot of strangers. Like a bunch of puas.

Haha,

Just heard it again. On Wednesday evenings i try to visit Honolulu's Gentleman's Clubs. One of my friends just told me he's not bouncing tonight. He said
"I get my pua tonight"

Aloha!

Requiring registration to read the board doesn't create a status of eliteness, it's a simple inconvenience. This way, some members could be enticed to share a bit more, their lives wont be read by any passerby or pop up in google search.

Right.

Roosh, I don't think it makes it elite either.

I just think making people give a little "commitment" to read the posts is a good thing.

I think it would encourage more people to join and in turn share more info

Guys,

It's not that I don't want to share with you, the committed forum members, I want to share everything with you! And only you guys! I want to share with only you guys within the seduction community. That's why I think all seduction forums should be kept private from people that don't join and participate within OUR community, and/or the seduction community at large.

It is the men outside of the seduction community that are our competition. These men that would never join any forum, or share anything with us. Outside of the seduction community, it's the naturals and super AMOGs that skim men's magazines and the internet, they aren't a part of our community and don't give a flying fuck about us -- us guys helping eachother improve our game.

The less they know, the better. I've been called out for using lines in the past, why would I want these same anti-pua AMOGing douchebags knowing more?

All seduction forums should require membership.

A lot of guys read the pua books, but Very, VERY, VERY few actually approach. But then you have guys that already have decent game before touching PUA material, that suddenly learn about it. Usually they're reading it for amusement, so they can spot nerds running lines in bars.

I'm an official member of a seduction lair, we have a good share of well read keyboard jockeys. They hardly ever approach. Even some of the guys that are good in the bar scene, they won't run daygame at all.

I'm actually for something along those lines. I have to agree with Roosh about the spirit of the forums, but sometimes I see people post here that just makes me wonder "How did they get past the bouncer?"

Maybe we can have a separate forum to where only people with "X" (barback?) number of posts can get into or something. The rest of the forums can be left open for people that just come and goes like the wind.

Seven whole years have passed since Roosh wrote the above post in August 2009 and he still adheres to what he said back then up to this day.
There are many things I could rep Roosh for as he has changed my entire life in so many different ways for the better, but this one post from 7 years ago especially stands out.
This is how you know the true value of a man. A man of his word. Reliable and consistent throughout the years. A real man who is committed to his cause in helping other men and does not give up, give in or sell out.

Going to give Roosh my rep point today.

In other news, it appears that for seven years Kona has consistently been saying, 'Aloha!'

Kona, you should start a fishing thread bro, 178lb marlin, that's impressive!

I got a 30lb salmon off the coast of SF 15 years ago and I'm still basking in the glory, but that's a little pua compared to your catch!

Same. Was expecting to see OP with strike through name. Never would have predicted a good 'ole Merc necro bump. Mercenary - how do you find these threads? Do you just search on the last couple pages of the subforums and read whats there?

The fact that Blue Marlin can get up to 2000 lbs. doesn't make it sound quite as impressive. That's an average size for a male Blue Marlin though I think.

In the olden days, men who formed tribes among trusted members (and met regularly) would put all their collective knowledge, history and rules into one big ass massive huge heavy book which was kept under lock and key. There then would be one or two men who would be entrusted to know everything that was in that book, no matter how old or obscure or "outdated" it was and would quote it when disputes about the past arose, or when it seemed necessary or relevant to the present discussion.

It was also a good way to regularly remind the group of the vast pool of knowledge that had been accumulated through the years of their collective experiences and how far they'd come together.

Kind of like captain Teague in pirates of the Caribbean, keeper of the code.
He doesn't decide the rules or write all the knowledge...but he does know if the group has discussed or documented any particular topic or not:

So if Hillary wins and the FBI shut down RVF forever, what happens to the encyclopaedic knowledge here? Can it be stored, downloaded, shared? I know zilch about this stuff, but it would be like burning a library if this place got taken down.

Wow.

That was seven years ago. What's wild is that a 178 pound BLACK marlin where I fish, the Kauai Channel, is non existant now. They are all 700 plus, and no fun at all to catch. The BLUEs are smaller, and easier to bring in.

Even wilder, that day I landed the 178 versus they way I fish today. Then, I was probably trolling looking for birds, bubbles and water color. I had minimal electronics. Now I got something like 15000 feet hemispherical and can see everything.

Aloha!

That is one of the reasons why this place is unique. I admit to being a lurker for some time before signing up as well. I am not a person of signing up to dozen of internet forums and sites. Time is limited and life very rich.

Also, if it wasn't open to the public I would have never signed up because I wouldn't had know what the content was, except for the game section; but this forum is much richer than the game section. Also, I have introduced friends to the forum but previous to that I didn't have someone who referred me to it. I know that with time both me, the forum brothers, and the lurkers will learn from the interaction.
