Going to Veags, any tips?

Hey guys-

I'll be heading to Vegas for a three day trip for my buddy's bday. 3/16-3/19

Just three of us dudes, staying at the Cosmopolitan. Mid to low bank roll.

Any recommendations for choice places to check out? Best spots to party at and try to get some snatch? Good strategies for maximizing my short stay there?

I know little to nothing about Vegas, especially from a nightlife perspective, and I was hoping some of you Vegas vets could help me out. Or if there is a thread out already that someone can point me to.

Thanks

Use search function.

People have written Las Vegas advice ad nauseum on this forum.

I alone have probably written over 100 pages of Data Sheets on Las Vegas.

If you look for it, you will have Las Vegas info coming out your ears till they bleed.

I go atleast twice a year and I'll be there for the opening weekend for March Madness. Can't wait. Staying at the MGM and will be at the sportsbook pretty much the whole trip. But I'm gonna hit up some clubs for sure.

If you can, stay at Cosmo, Venitian or Wynn instead of MGM.

Try not to break your neck.

You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.

get a cabana at a pool that's not super crowded (I did Mandalay which was good)...MGM might be ok, it'll be probably in the low 70s around that time They have TVs and food inside the cabana, order drinks and watch the games. Just pay a small rental plus a food and beverage minimum.

Watching games at the sportsbook sucks, at least in my view, you're fighting for seats and its just too crazy. same with sports bars. Some places may have electronic devices for you to place bets from the pool too...depends on the spot.

I actually usually stay at caesar's or the Wynn. I haven't paid for a hotel in about 13 years. I always get comps. But since I don't really gamble like I used to the Wynn only comps me for stays between Sunday to Thursday. So Since I will be flying in on Thursday I figure I stay at MGM this time since I love the sportsbook and my buddies are staying there. I'm more of a sports gambler now then a table player. I do love the Wynn though.

Good Idea Partyon. Hoping for some good weather that weekend. 80 would be sweet. I gotta say that I like the sportsbook atmosphere. Especially for football. I do a lot of second half betting so it's good to be by the book to place your bets. I have heard about the devices by the pool to wager with. Pretty awesome.

Read G's Data Sheets. I'll try to get my data sheet out before you go because it's going to be epic.

Don't stay at MGM, listen to G, although I'd say stay at Encore over Wynn. Encore is a younger crowd.

Aria is pretty well centrally located with nice rooms. Only a few years old so there are a lot of people there all the time.
