Difference between Women and Gender Studies?

So I was browsing through Arts majors at the University of Melbourne which is where I want to study, and found they only offer Gender Studies as a minor and not a major. Which can only be a good thing. [Image: blush.gif]
(FYI I'll be majoring in Finance & Economics)

Then I looked up the majors of it's arch nemesis Monash University, and found they offer two separate majors for Women and Gender Studies. It's almost the norm for students to take double majors in Australia so theoretically a feminist could graduate having majored in both.

Can anyone clarify what the difference is?

gender studies is just a broader term for "look how men are fucking us yay for feminists" In my first year I actually took an intro to gender studies class on the suggestion of my then girlfriend (she said it was just a general intro to both feminism and the male in society. I dropped the class within the first week. Everyone looked down upon me for being a straight male, the prof said "dont bother coming to class if its just here to fill your timetable" and a girl looked at me disgusted and asked if i was just there to get some ass when i started to talk to her.

LOL! My only regret on missing the college experience was never taking a women's/gender studies class.

I've always wanted to save money and sign up for a 1-off women's studies class at a community college so I could start off the first day with a joke:

"A man in a truck hits a woman on foot. Who is at fault? THE MAN! WHY WAS HE DRIVING IN THE KITCHEN!?"

just hit up a bigger college or go to a place with a class size of >50. you could theoretically go first day to a class smaller than 50 people just claim you are sitting in to see if you want to take it, then procede with your joke. be prepared to look like this after [Image: dexter460.jpg]

Sounds like it would be an ultimate challenge for a player to pull something from this dyke class.

The ultimate challenge would be getting a boner in their presence. At least in the higher level classes. First year classes are FULL of girls who come to uni to slut it up. Maybe I'm just saying this because I've banged 5 girls in uni who were first year/in feminist classes.
