5 Predominant Habits for a Healthy, Successful Life?

Predominant Habits for a Healthy, Successful Life?
I just came across an interesting post over at the Warrior Forum
where this guy laid down 56 lessons he learned over 11 years in
Internet Marketing and one of them stood out to me:

"37. Your 5 predominant habits will predict what your future will be
like. So take some time and write them down. If any of them have
anything to do with complaining, blaming others, drugs, too much
partying, or being negative in any way, then you already know what
you need to change."

Here's the thread: http://www.warriorforum.com/main-internet-
marketing-discussion-forum/500934-56-lessons-learned-over-11-
years-being-im-list-i-wish-i-had-when-i-first-started.html

(sorry if the link is a no-no, Roosh - just wanted to give the guy
credit where due)

Anyhow, this idea really struck a chord with me. He was focusing on
what to avoid, but it got me to thinking about which 5 habits would
predict the best possible future. Determine those and fill your time
with them, and wouldn't that nearly guarantee success in life?

What's your opinion, and which habits would you personally focus on
to achieve your own personal ideal for the future?

Beyond All Seas

"The individual has always had to struggle to keep from being overwhelmed by the tribe.
To be your own man is a hard business. If you try it, you'll be lonely often, and sometimes
frightened. But no price is too high to pay for the privilege of owning yourself." - Kipling

Here's my suggestion for 5 items ( I'm neglecting #4 right now, not good.. ):

1. Do what has to be done as soon as it comes up unless something more important has to be done first.
2. Keep my shit organized ( paperwork, tasks, email, files on computer etc. )
3. Work out regularly.
4. Get enough sleep.
5. Approach everything with a positive and constructive attitude.

Nice list! I'd change 3 to workout regularly and eat well

When I wake up in the morning I write down a few things, usually 3, that are my goals for the day. I put all my effort into completing those goals.

Literally this is the only productivity tool that has ever worked for me but with a slight tweak. I write it down the night before and it's five things. Then when I get up in the morning I just work my way down the list without having to think about it too much.

It wasn't my idea I read it somewhere else, it's a really great way to get things done especially if you're responsible for your own time.

I do something similar. I use the catch phone app (android) and write down todos as they come up during the day. It syncs to their website. Every morning I open that list and pick one or two items that I put on top and email it to myself.

Perhaps it sounds silly, but I don't forget anything important that way.

Amazing advice! Im gonna do the list thing, 3-5 goals for the day every day!

What I do is write down short term goals on a post it note and stick it to the back of my bedroom door, its full of post-its. Then when I finish one of those tasks i put it on my wall of accomplishment (over my bed) lol it motivates you when you have a lot of things accomplished on your accomplishment side. The post its on the door look pretty badass too and you can see what it is you need to do on a regular basis. For me, a long to do list gets overwhelming so I like the post-its more.

Still, I have a lot of post its on my door and keep adding them, maybe 3-5 tasks for a day will help me to become more productive. Ill give it a try!
