The late Guru of GangStarr has a series of 4 albums called JazzMatazz. I can vouch for the 1st two being good music. He has some collabos with Branford Marsalis and Donald Byrd among others.

Peep J. Rawls also if you down with this type of stuff.

Nuja was a silent legend. Had a big following worldwide, I was crushed when I herd he got the call from the big man. RIP

I use jazzy-hip hop and neo-soul to test broads. If the broad starts complaining shit is too chill then she just an airhead that ill pump and dump. If the broad can take in the vibes then ill try and pick at her brain to see if anything else sparks up that will make me keep her around.

I've been a big fan of Japanese and Korean jazz since I was a kid. Nujabes was one of my favorites.

Next to Nujabes, the most popular/skilled artists in this genre are Fat Jon, Tsutchie, Nomak, DJ Okawari and Ayur. Below, you can find one track from each artist. Go to youtube and you can find many, MANY more videos just by scanning the related videos sidebar, including some more music from lesser known (but still skilled) artists.

Happy hunting. This is a great world of music you're about to enter.

Know your enemy and know yourself, find naught in fear for 100 battles. Know yourself but not your enemy, find level of loss and victory. Know thy enemy but not yourself, wallow in defeat every time.

Good too see some Nujabes fan's on here, he was such a beast.

Here's a few from this Tokyo hip hop band called Ovall

Ovall - Mind Games ft Nichoals Ryan Gant

from a live show

The drummer from the group (Mabanua) making a track

and this is just straight up jazz from Robert Glasper

You have to see him live, his band has so much technical control...yet so fluid.

one from probably the current goat of jazz hip hop (madlib)

+1 for Fat Jon and Rob Glasper. Fuck yes.

Also peep Dela. He's a white dude from France i'm pretty sure. His Airlines discs are classics for me.

Also the Canadian heavy weight Slakah the Beatchild. He did a project with another French dude Hazel. Both are on the same tip. Each will give you bangers.

Another dude is Tyler McFerrin [Brainfeeder]. His pops did that "don't worry be happy joint", first mainstream beatboxer? That was way back. But none the less. Tyler got some dope shit. Its a hybrid of a bunch of stuff but hes brings, jazz, electro, hip-hop, broken beat, and beatboxing into it all.

And lastly Fly Lo. Dude IMO is Madlib on crack. his Cosmogramma record he put out last spring was his "Jazz" album, but its really like 10 years ahead of its time.
