The German army was often a big culprit for having soldiers who didn't look "soldierly" (yup I made up an adjective) as well as the Scandinavian armies.

I know the WW2 armies had some out of shape senior officers but in the social media age there should be some pressure on not tolerating fatsos and officers with double chins.

You are mentioning Germany and Scandinavia.
Their armies are just the pictures of the degrading society. They are pushing pro-refugee and liberal shit the most. People who are in charge for DoD in those countries are usually childless female feminists. That speaks for itself.

Look at Polish or Czech soldiers.

my best friend was an officer in the USMC and my other great friend was as well. My best friend was referred to as hollywood in OCS and my other lifelong friend probably has a bout 400 bodies under his belt at 45 years of age. Both great looking in shape dudes who didn't wear their service on their sleeve, but were easily the best storytellers i've ever come in contact with.

Served alongside the Poles in Afghanistan, their leadership is hit or miss (depends on the specific unit) but on an individual level they're badass.

Almost got sent to Jacksonville, NC HQ for a Marine Base. The crime blotter was full of nothing but devil dogs who beat the shit out of their wife for what i presume was cheating. Literally, every dude with a mugshot was hemmed up for domestic assualt not drugs, murder or arson
