The disparity between the bottom of the 1% and the top of that same 1% is pretty huge... another reason I think this whole movement is retarded. If anything, it should be more like the 99.99% vs. 0.001%.

400k makes you in top 1% in the country (people usually think much more)

55k and you are in top 1% in THE WORLD

Bottom line most of us are doing well in the western world.

The real "1%" are the people who are beyond money. They're the guys that dont even bother measuring their wealth, its just THERE.

The 99% and 1% thing is total bullshit.

When anyone starts bemoaning "income inequality" pick up a rotten tomato and throw it at them.

It's not the UNequal-ness of income...it's the issue of "are you really poor?"

For example, ask somebody, anybody, "Would you like to earn twice as much as your do now?" If they say, "yes" then you can say, the only condition is that the top 1% of income earners get 4 times as much income.

Guess what? You have more income "inequality" but everybody is better off.

And don't come back with the notion "well, incomes have stagnated!" Maybe, but then again, today's standard of living is so much higher. Most everybody has better cars, better phones, better TVs, better computers, more access to information...and on and on and on. Ever people in the so-called "poverty" range.

(Let me tell, a good percentage of the world's population would LOVE to live in a run-down trailer park in some god-forsaken hamlet somewhere. As the guy sweeping shit in Delhi).

All this 99% - 1% crap is gonna go by the wayside anyway. It's all nonsense.
