I haven't seen much of this article bouncing around the manosphere, and even though it's long and a typically whiny screed from a 39-year old cat lady, it will provide plenty of stuff for forum members to chew on.

Summary: A 39-year old woman looks over her love life, decides that she made the right decisions, and that marriage as a goal for everyone is an outmoded trope. She doesn't sound so convinced between the lines.

There's a lot in this article that will be familiar to regular forum readers: the breakup with a nice guy for no good reason, women not wanting to marry down, the need to describe romantic failure as some sort of subversive position to take against the patriarchy, sad tales of adventures along the cock carousel, etc. Susan Walsh of Hooking Up Smart even gets a few lines mostly summing up how Alphas get most of the sex.

It is long-winded, so I forgive you if you can't finish it, but see how far you get and see what you think.

As much as we like to complain about American women and their faults, I really can't blame them. I mean she was raised this way and these feminist ideas were rammed down her throat ever since the day she was born. Sort of like how religion is crammed down some people's heads from the day they were born.

Just like how hordes of nice guys are raised, educated, and cultured to be "nice," so do these women grow up and become these entitled monsters. However, some nice guys wise up and learn while women rarely ever do so. It's because women can delude themselves into thinking that they're hot s*** when they have men asking them for sex. Guys have to be realistic and adapt.

In reality, nice guys and entitled bitches were raised this way and don't know any better. Some nice guys learn and adapt, while the entitled bitches rarely ever do until they're past their expiration date and become desperate.

I think one thing that guys have trouble with is imagining what it's like for a woman to have sex with a spineless beta. Men have a hard time understanding what it's like for a woman to feel repulsed by a beta. Think of it this way. Although it isn't talked about as much, I'm pretty sure we can all agree that an "alpha female" is simply a woman with whom many men would have sex with, and a "beta woman" is a woman with whom very few men would have sex with. Now, what if you were married to a beta woman? Hypothetically speaking, what if you were married to a 70-year-old ugly wrinkled woman who kept nagging you to have sex? You'd feel repulsed, right?

When I analyze society, I think that under marriage 1.0, men were more likely to be satisfied sexually than women. The average man would have been satisfied with an endless supply of sex from a decent-looking woman. The woman, on the other hand,...well I don't know. Would her hypergamous instincts caused her to never feel sexually satisfied? I haven't done the research yet.

Thanks for sharing. It's the first article I've read that's written by a woman and explains hypergamy and its wider consequences in a clear way.

Despite plenty of dubious assertions and conclusions, that is. It's like she sees all the dots (data points) and then proceeds to let her rationalisation hamster connect them up at the end of the article.

These articles are trope to make money off the legions of single women over 35. Nothing in that article is an original thought, but she couches it in feminine language to draw support from the wider culture.
