I'll be totally honest here. I would say my game ability is somewhere between pathetic and laughable, and my girls are in the 7-8 range (my personal taste is kawaii/petite/sweet) Personally, I have NEVER seen a foreigner with a girl in the 8-10 range in Taiwan, and I've been here for 8 years. Generally speaking, I've almost never seen a foreigner with a girl that I wouldn't throw out of bed if I found her naked when I came home drunk at night. The average foreigner in Taiwan is banging 3's and 4's. I don't know how they do it.
I live in a 2nd tier city, so daygame is a waste of time because no English. I still try it, naturally about my day, but I get only maybe two dates a month off daygame at best. I just use dating apps. OKC and Tinder and you can find some local ones as well although those two are the ones that attract english speakers. Those apps are also very small markets in a 2nd tier city. You should be in Taichung, Kaohsiung, or Taipei, to game in Taiwan, period. It will be VERY hard elsewhere unless you are fluent.
I don't think there's anything special really as far as the young girls go: just open every cute girl under the age of 23 on your app of choice. You'll get a lower response rate than with an older group but you're golden with the ones that do. There is a percentage of women that just want to be with an experienced older guy, which I think is pretty standard worldwide in all cultures. I approach them in the street as well. I have NEVER received a negative reaction of any kind from any of them, as you would in the west. None of the girls I am with has ever said a single comment about the age difference and neither has any of their friends.
The cool thing about Taiwanese girls is they are invariably incredibly busy and live with their parents, which means their free time is very limited. A lot of them CAN'T see you more than once a week, which makes it easy to date a lot of them without there ever even being a question of "spend more time with me!"
Oh and of course, for online game, you MUST have professional photographs taken, and I would say you should at least be in "good" shape.
