I need your help!
Here is the situation: I am flying back to England in August for Summer break. My little brother is 16 and about to transition to sixth form.
He has no hobbies outside of playing animal crossing on his Nintendo Switch.
No social skills and no support network to help him through this period of his life. I will be on the other side of the planet, rendering me useless.
I am worried. We both grew up in an old mining village with a population less than 15,000. I am worried because when I was his age I had a strong group of peers, went out every other day and played sports. When I left to sixth form, it almost killed me. Its not nice to be 17 and suicidal because you haven't been taught anything. I don't want the same for him.
So I need your help. My plan is create a Word document filled with advice/articles about every single aspect of life. I want it to be a foundation with which he can always reference if he needs help.
Areas that need to be covered:
- Economics
- Women
- Friend groups
- Philosophy
- Education
- Hobbies
- Personal fitness and well being
- Relationship with drugs and alcohol
- Work
- Politics
- History
- Red pill 101
- Anecdotes
The list above is no exclusive, if you can think of anything YOU wish you knew at 16, please add it to the thread.
Add links, videos, books, threads that are useful and any other resource you have at your disposal. I will compile it all into a word document, print it off as a book and give it to him when I get home.
