Request: Guide to Photographer Game

Does anyone know of any walk throughs or guides to using photography as a way to sleep with hotter girls?

I'm open to free or paid for guides.

I live in a desirable part of NYC, have a roof top, and a DSLR. I feel like I should be able to figure this out.

It's not as simple as just messaging hot girls and telling them you have a photography set up. I've tried that. Or maybe I need to try harder. I dunno - this is where a guide could come in handy.

Ideally, this sort of guide would help someone do this in their free time - I can't quit my job to become a photographer.

I did a quick search through the forums and did not find what I'm looking for. These threads that I found talk about the type of equipment to get, which is useful, but I'm more interested in how to approach photography as a business/hobby that will get me laid, and the strategies I need to use to do that.

thread-67460...photograph
thread-61963...photograph
thread-62705...photograph

Examples of questions I have:
1) Should I try to bang clients? Some advice I've found seems to think that I should try to befriend clients and bang their friends or friends of friends (friends of models tend to be hot). If you do bang clients, seems like you could get a reputation as an asshole/creep.
2) How do I get clients? Should I try to do it in person (sorta like day game), or just spam hot girls on IG?
3) Is it bad to take photographs of girls I'm dating and post them (with their permission) on my photographer IG account? Seems like it could backfire on me if my business photographer IG account turns into a wall of shame. The one chick who did a shoot with me so far was a girl I already banged. I haven't posted her yet though, even though she said I could.
4) Given that my goal is just to sleep with hotter girls, what sort of photography should I do? Fashion photography, portrait photography, etc. All of it?

I ran this type of game maybe 10 years ago. I owned a photography company. I recommend 3 things:

You should keep a firewall between business and fuckery. This is especially true in the #MeToo era.

I would suggest you get good at boudoir photography, which in my experience is a lighting disaster. Some women get very turned on when you make them feel sexy.

If you want to meet and bang models... attend an industry meetup. The more people you know and the more connected you seem, the better your results.

IIRC, some lengthy, quality threads on this already.

Every male photographer I've ever met has given off a Creepy Vibe second only to creepy uncles. Use photos to develop a common bond with a woman but Christ, don't try to screw your models....

I’m a photographer, but I got to know enough models who shared their stories about creepy photo shoots.

I think they do stand out mostly for the following reasons.

The “Over zealous” texter: organizing a photo shoot into details is a good thing, it helps the final result.

Once everything is decided and agreed upon that’s it, though.

If the photographer keeps sending texts and making calls just to chat, it should start to feel a bit creepy.

The “let’s have body contact every chance I got!”: if every excuse is a good one to touch the model’s hand, shoulder, hair, etc…. Well, that’s a no-no in my opinion.

I saw that first hand with a fellow photographer wanting to “put the mode into the right pose”, ending up touching her hands/arms constantly.

Super creepy.

Her annoyed expression said it all.

The “Over attached” texter: Once the photo shoot ends, there is no reason to keep calling/texting the model, unless it’s for the selection of the photos or something else business related.

Something like “hey! Yesterday’s shoot was great, you were amazing! What do you do tonight? Any plans?” doesn’t sound right, does it?

The Extra inquisitive: this is quite common and it comes, mostly, from “pseudo-photographers” who use photography as a mean to watch naked models.

In some cases watching isn’t even enough.

Questions like “If I give you 50€ more than what you ask for the job, could we have a dinner together? And for extra 200€, maybe, an after dinner?”.

Disgusting, yes, but chat like that happen on a regular basis on social networks.

I’ve seen so many screenshots I lost count.

And the screenshots are introducing the next point…

The Camera Man: if a model receives a job request, on a social media, from a profile who has a stock photo of a DSLR… Please tread carefully.

Of course there are exceptions, maybe super shy guys, but I feel that in the majority of scenarios behind the photo of the DSLR there is someone who has something to hide.

Even more so when, if asked to show his portfolio, he replies that “the photos are for private use only, there isn’t an online portfolio”.

You guessed it right, next category is:

The portfolio-less: I always wondered why some photographers hire a model when they won’t display the photos on a portfolio and when there isn’t a job to do.

What’s the purpose of the photos?

I mean, what’s a “private use” for, generally, nude/boudoir photos?

Not sure, sounds a bit strange though.

PS:

I might have been a little “strong” with these descriptions, but I’m sure every fellow professional would agree to the fact that the disgusting people I described pollute our business.

Important: there are exceptions, of course.

Anxious people might be over texting to make sure everything goes smooth.

Somebody without a portfolio might actually be learning the craft, so he hires a model to speed up the process.

If a model stumbles upon a photographer with one of this behaviors it doesn’t mean it’s a pervert 100% of the times!

They are just guidelines, common sense should do the rest.

You're the prize, the camera is your prop.
Approach like you normally would with your camera in hand, as if it's an extension of your arm. She's welcome to ask you about it.

Whatever you do, DO NOT wear it around your neck or shoulder like a goofy ass tourist and NEVER use it as a means of negotiation, I.e.: 'if you hang with me I'll take pics of you for IG'

I suggest you read a guy I met out in nightlife book on photography, it is the BEST I ever read...

WHY? It is more philosophical and ironically pears well with how I used to archive my videos recording...

Search "lastnightsparty" on IG, disclaimer...
- He is NOT a community dude
- By now he is probably 40+
- He meets majority of girls via cold approach
- He isn't focus on technical photography

By far my #1 photographer, no hitting up chicks through DMs just pure in the moment "every chick is my last shoot" because he never knows who or what he will run into next.

He also has a vimeo subscription...You should, he makes me wish I'd added raw sexuality in my personal videos I archived as memories. (There was a night I was fucking a girl in a storefront right off broadway in soho...I had camera in my hand as we recorded prior...Had I been recording I would've captured the moment I have her bent over fucking and she waves as some random guy passed by at 4am when I told her prior "what are the odds of someone passing by" hahahaha...I swear it was as if we were doing a porn shoot fucking around in 4 different places)

P.S...You should also check out travelbum and maybe contact him about this. Some of his doc-like videos have clips of some dope boudior-like shooting

P.S.S...I too think swindling chicks to shoots trying to fuck is garbage, you kill the art-like intentions. Save that for social settings...I remember a friend used to hang with tried to get a girl id had meetup with him since i was late...said she wanted to photograph her next day, she insisted I come along. (Told her only guy understanding it is more than photography, as I didn't want to go just so she feels safe when i know he really just wants to fuck, she didnt end up going)

Start by taking pics of the girls you are already pulling/banging. when you have enough practice and a large enough portfolio make new social media accounts with your work. Dm girls on them complimenting and then asking if they are interested in dooing test shoots. dont escalate during shoots. if the vibe was good during shoots invite the girl to get some food after or tell her about a party you are organizing. keep increasing your skills until you are the best in your area. approach modeling agencies to send you clients. build social circle of models. dont ever destroy your rep by doing uncalibrated escalation during a shoot with a real model.
