It’s an old handle. He also isn’t a satanist anymore.

A second component is marketing. Tarl gets a lot of income from translating, editing, and publishing old esoteric texts. He’s somewhat of an amateur scholar of the occult although this side doesn’t much show up in his political videos.

I’m at the point where I’ve got all I can from him politically. Where he does maintain a value add is that he’s much more tapped into and much more savvy about the world of “content creators” and the censorship battle than is most of the right these days. Among other things he understood a long time before anyone else that the single biggest thing driving censorship is that corporate advertisers are pushing to block content that goes against their interests.

His weakness is one common to Libertarian types where they tend to think more in terms of ideals than practicality. On those points I think John Mark and Curt Doolittle are far ahead of Styx’s crowd because they understand that Libertarianism can only exist in an environment where those who infringe on the principal of reciprocity are aggressively punished.

If he is not a Satanist anymore (or never was?) why is he using all the following symbols?

- Pentagram
- Mark of the Beast
- Ouroborus
- Dragon
- freaky Skull

and yes, I know that symbols have a polar aspect. meaning they also carry positive aspects.

He could just as easily be an alchemist - Satanists have appropriated plenty of ancient occult symbols in the same way that the Nazis appropriated the Swastika. The Ouroboros is an especially ancient symbol that has been seen in many disparate cultures and belief systems all over the world.

I'm not familiar with his output but I suspect he just has an intellectual interest in the occult, or uses its imagery to appear edgy.

You just ninjaed me.

Him being an “alchemist” is basically correct.

Besides which the anger over certain symbols being “satanist” where some are good and others evil is the clearest indication that one doesn’t actually know what they’re talking about.

I’ll repeat another offer. If anyone is interested in a more serious dive into the matter I have access to some PDF versions of books that go into the subject matter in a very deep, very comprehensive manner. I can’t do more than that because the author went “underground” and doesn’t wish to have any public internet presence although I am in communication with him privately and can pass along questions.

Let me put it this way: I speak a lot less than I know. Partly because nobody would believe me and partly because were dealing with something we have no control over.
