The NASA Love Triangle: Women Astronauts Bringing Irrational Drama To The Profession

I remember an incident announced in the news in February 4–5, 2007 when NASA astronaut Lisa Nowak attempted to kidnap fellow astronaut Colleen Shipman because she was having an affair with her boyfriend William Oefelein who is also an astronaut. This scandalous incident has been labeled: The NASA Love Triangle by the press and has made NASA a joke. This is why women must not be allowed in such highly technical, intellectual professions, they are illogical and emotional because of a lack of testosterone and this causes them to cave in to work related pressure, give in to lustful instincts, and start sexual affairs with co-workers. Interestingly enough, this has been made into a movie set to be released in 2019 called Lucy in the Sky, which will be a lesson on women's lack of reasoning abilities, though the movie will still be praised by SJW's as another source of female empowerment.

I remember when this happened. Our local paper had this under the headlines of "Good Heavens!". I thought it was hilarious and, yes, it did make NASA look bad.

Now, actually imagine if these astronauts were ever faced with a critical and life-threatening situation.

All these Hollywood movies like Interstellar make women astronauts look competent.

In reality, the bitch would panic and probably get everyone killed.

And disobey orders, and manipulate men to do the same.

Nothing new under the suns.

The NASA Love Triangle: Women Astronauts Bringing Irrational Drama To The Profession

I remember when this happened. I couldn't believe it. I had astronauts, or at least the concept of them, in such high esteem.

But at the time I actually was glad this happened. It showed me that this was just another group of people overhyped and insulated enough to lose touch with reality. Took all the mystique away from being an astronaut. Perhaps a bit of sour grapes.

The story at the time was so sensational it defied belief. Now such dysfunction in revered institutions or professions is normal - look at female teacher male student sex for example. Rare {or at least rare to be reported) in the 90s, now kinda regular and almost expected, with the women involved sometimes fairly attractive.

The women were surely batshit crazy, but it's too easy to just blame them. The main reason this story discredited NASA astronauts so much, was because all the people involved were such clowns. Yes, that includes the guy involved. Here you are in such a revered position, and you piss it all away for some bullshit drama with some crazy coworkers. What kind of a retard doesn't expect drama from that? Is the NASA training so undemanding you have time for such drama?

Everybody looked awful in this story.
