Do You Say "Bless You" When People Sneeze?

Don't say anything when a fellow human sneezes, pass the option to communicate in real life and exist further as the lonely, atomized, digitized, media addicted worker drones that you are. Be proud about how smart you are for seeing past this barbaric superstition from past and how voke you are for having more time to swipe left instead, because in the end it is only taking it in the ass that is real.

Or do say something and make a dent in the globohomo system with each God bless you!

Exactly.

Some of these posters have fucked up versions of building "community".

Yes, and so does my 3yo.

We also say please, thank you, excuse me, grace, thank you for the meal, etc.

Manners are on short supply these days. I would rather raise an anomaly than say "Fuck it".

Why is it good manners to say "bless you" when someone sneezes?

It's an acknowledgement that the person exists and that you care about him - at least at the base human level. Read "human".

I fight anyone that blesses me. Especially children.

When someone is sneezing I tell them "Knock it the fuck off" like I'm mad, and it works. Science, man.

This kind of thing really works.

Another thing you can do is, when you see someone gearing up for a sneeze, is yell:

"Stop! I take your sneeze! There will be no sneezing!"

A lot of times, they won' t sneeze, but they still have to sneeze, so they are left there in a semi-permanent pre-sneeze state.

Kind of makes the whole hitlerblessyougeshundheit issue irrelevant.

Once had a girl demand repeatedly: "Give me back my sneeze."

If anyone knows how to do that, please share.

Having the final authority over other people's sneezes would be quite the super power.

What should you say to someone who's an atheist?

They don't sneeze. You gotta believe in sinus irritants. Mind over matter.

Aloha!

I think the issue isn't whether someone says "bless you" or not.

The more important question and where most people go wrong is that they sneeze without covering their disgusting bacterias to themselves.
No, usually people just sneeze freely with a huge lack of respect for others without covering themselves or they cover their nose particles by sneezing into their own hand like a downer (while they later use that same hand to shake other peoples hands and open doors etc).

The colds in the society could probably be reduced with 85% if people just thought about hygiene more. People who don't show that respect in the first place don't deserve a "bless you" in my humble opinion.
