Near Death Experiences..

Anyone have near death experiences in life? I recently had one and it has put my life in perspective.

I was driving on a rainy day on the freeway when a car hydroplaned and hit me. From the impact, my car spun out and nipped another car. I ended up a few lanes over facing the opposite side of traffic. It was a scary experience, but I am for the most part unharmed nor were the others involved. The shock from the accident has made me think how it could of been a lot worse and things aren't too bad in my life.

Anyone have similar stories?

Near Death Experiences..

Just last week I was doing a road trip with my girl. Highway was packed with freight trucks, and one some 200 meters ahead of us snapped a cable and started dropping 4x4 lumber on the road, Final Destination style.

We where very lucky not to get hit.

Had many. Think it makes you appreciate life more and spend each day more thoughtfully.

Near Death Experiences..

Not so long ago I had a bad car accident. The witnesses could not believe it when I walked out of the car. The make and model were almost unrecognizable it was in such a bad state. My head broke the side window which also knocked me out and probably saved my life.

This accident really shocked me and I woke up with that feeling the next day of appreciating life more. That feeling has faded a bit, I am facing some real long term physical problems and I guess that has something to do with it

Not sure if this counts as a near death experience - got caught out in a rip current while swimming at the beach a few years back with my cousin.
We were foolish to ignore all the signs and just tried to see who could swim further and boom we were pretty far out and the current kept pulling us out further.
Not an expert swimmer by any means but the panic and adrenaline kicked in and survival mode switched on we kept pushing and swimming and by luck and fate managed to get ashore.
As soon as we got on the beach, the life guards came running towards us and started yelling and cussing us all this while we were still catching our breath (so much for saving lives aye)
That shook me for a while and I stayed away from swimming in the sea for a couple of years until I managed to overcome that fear.

I clicked on this thread expecting to read about people who flat-lined on the operating table, went to heaven, and came back with angelic wisdom from Elysian realms.

Instead I find a thread on inattentiveness.

Thread winner: Worst lifeguards in the World.

My buddy and I got caught in a rip once at Zuma Beach in Malibu. We just swam parallel with the shore for 30 seconds, then turned and rode the waves back in. Two lifeguards were already at the waterline, floatation devices in hand, watching to see if we could handle it, which we did.

I had a horrific near-death experience...I wouldn't wish that pain and suffering upon anybody.

It was my ex-wife.

Near Death Experiences..

Yeah I just finished my workout and then realized, to my dismay, I had forgotten my post workout shake. I dashed into my vehicle and zipped out into traffic, running a red light and smashing into an oncoming vehicle. I didn't notice the pain of my severed limb, I was running on pure fear, fear of missing my anabolic window that is. I fleed the scene and ran a couple more reds on my way home. I jumped out of my car as I smashed it through my closed garage door, smashing the drywall in the process. I tripped as I entered my house and bashed my face into the hardwood floor. As I got up I didn't realize that I had shit myself and broken my nose. I limped my way to the cabinet and hammered down a few gulps of protein powder straight from the container. I then looked at the clock and smiled. It was 11:29, I had hit my anabolic window.
