Goals for 2019

I have more goals than these, but I'm told a man can never have enough...

1. Finish the novel I started in November 2018.

2. Get fit, finally found a diet and exercise program that works for me, just have trouble staying consistent.

3. Get better at Japanese, been slacking off since I finished studying it in college.

4. Learn to draw.

5. Learn to play the guitar.

6. Create a blog / passive income streams that revolve around writing.

7. Get porn free.

Good luck to everyone. If you feel like you can't go on, do it anyway, the world's not waiting. Make your reality into the best one you can imagine. Happy new year.

Goals for 2019

- Focus on myself (health, financials, and hobbies)
- Buy more buy and hold real estate for rental income
- Make progress towards a CPA license

I realize that the first goal is pretty expansive, however I need to start focusing more on what is important to me. As much as I love to help out family, friends, it needs to take a back seat to things that are important to me. A strong BostonBMW means good things for people I love/that are in my life.

Goals for 2019

Hey guys my first post here, a bit late for goals for 2019 but I still got 11 months so here they are:

Social:
- Increase my social circle and get comfortable interacting with women.

Physical:
- Follow a calisthenics program such as Convict Conditioning and try to advance to higher level moves such as handstand pushups, one arm pushups, etc...

Mental:
- Get job at my school or an internship. Continue to do well in school.

I realize these aren't specific things that I can check off but I don't have any gauge of how well I will do in these, for example starting game, so I don't want to say "get laid" if I end up improving a lot but not getting laid.

Goals for 2019

End of January and I'm still going strong on what I stated. Remember that within a week most people just give up on their resolutions. Don't be that guy or girl [Image: smile.gif] I have 3 hot leads on the table that will get me out of the food industry and tomorrow I just might meet some people that will get me out of the hole. Like I said I know I got this it's just a matter of when, what's the terms, and where (I applied for other positions in other states).

Trust me, once I get out of the food industry I will take the bang more girls route a bit more seriously. I just don't want to take on too many tasks on an already busy schedule.

Here's mine and I have tons of confidence that I'll pull it off:

***1) Get out of the food industry and go into xyz industry that not only pays more off the bat but will advance me rapidly. This is the main goal I want to knock out and the following goals will fizzle out if I don't accomplish this one.***
2) Bang more girls and I'm pretty embarrassed about this part of my life. Has a lot to do with being a late bloomer and reading PUA shit years ago that got me nowhere. I'm not sure if I want a GF. I eventually want to settle down one day.
3) Keep doing martial arts and survivor related stuff. Unlikely civil war will happen but odds of getting robbed on the street or knock-out gammed still exist.
4) Keep networking with like minded individuals.

Once I get my needs met I might go the philanthropic/volunteering route. If the food industry has taught me anything it's that I can survive on very little.

Goals for 2019

I didn't set any goals or resolutions for 2019. I don't have anything against resolutions or goals. I actually like hearing guys set goals, it's just not what makes me tick. Anyway, it's turning out to be a remarkable year for me so far. I hesitate typing this as if the observing this might screw everything up somehow. Does that mean I'm superstitious or just know too much about quantum physics?

Anyway, here are my highlights. Some of this goes back into 2018 where the momentum started to build:

- Took a jujitsu vacation in the Fall. It changed my perspective on life for a few reasons that I don't need to go into here, but it boosted my feeling of autonomy, where I can vacation and go somewhere by myself (to meet a group of like-minded people) and have a great time. Also, I didn't just go party like usual. It's refreshing to know you can have a great vacation where you don't drink much.

- Dropped a bad relationship in December. This was vital. Growth was not going to happen with the toxic, off-and-on relationship I had been in for the last few years. That said, I don't think I could have dropped and been done with the relationship if I hadn't been building this momentum in other parts of my life.

- Started making money at a side business. It's good physical work that keeps me busy and affords me some extra cash, and it should provide me some career flexibility and skills for the future.

- Started doing some group therapy just to keep in check. I think it's good to reflect every so often. We all have topics we don't like being brought up that reveal our anxieties and insecurities. It's good to scratch away at those sometimes.

- More productive and efficient at desk-job and a couple other things I don't need to mention here.

I must say, a huge part of this is jujitsu. For the last 2 years I've been training that pretty hard (3-4 per week), so it got me into having something to do. Momentum. Over the last year or so, there's been this little (big?) thought that, while it's great I'm getting much better at BJJ, I'm not getting any richer, don't own a house, not in much of a place of being a provider at all. And I think that's important for a man. So stepping into being busy with side jobs was easy...substitute some of my gym time for work.

Now I'm just getting into managing my time to be efficient between my day-job, side projects, jujitsu and gym time, and socializing.

Not sure who said it, but...What's worse than having too many problems to solve? Having too little problems to solve.

Goals for 2019

One of my financial goals is to save and invest $20k this year.
It's already going really well but the pangs of delayed gratification have are beginning to bite. (i've been going for a couple of months in the lead up to the start of the year, paying off debt first)

From that perspective I've been looking at sports psychology and peak performance around how to win when you're already winning.

I still need to do the 8760 Hours year planning exercise as I suspect I may be making easy and straightforward goals but neglecting other areas of my life that also need to be addressed and have goals set.

Its already mid February but here we go:

1. Liquidate assets, be free from mortgage - property tax and a shit ton of other expenses while taking advantage of the recent years California housing bubble!

2. Return to my fitness level of 2012.

3. Finishing producing at least one of my own products.

4. Do only short term contract/consuting gigs for employers. No more long term commitments no matter how good they sound, they all end up being shit.

5. Increase my followers by 20X.

  • Be more focused - Cut out distractions and get shit done ASAP... specifically low (no) return web surfing, it's an irrelevant waste of time.
  • Be more social - Get out of monk mode and involve more people. Get involved.
  • More profit - 2x to 10x last years income, put fingers in more pies. ABC.
  • Get more ripped - Lower body fat to 15% and stabilize at 90kg of lean machine.
  • Pimp it - Digest the red-pill negativity, shit it right out and go for more in a positive way.

Feb update, clear progress/regress:

More focused: flatlined and clearly re-lapsing... too much aimless web surfing. Still more control than in previous years but this is a HUGE issue that eats up free time. And time isn't free so this is a terrible way to waste it.

Social: Slow progress. The "Red Pill" angle makes it tricky because I'll often use exclusion (of self or others) to not let negative or troublesome influences in. But this is a double edged sword because it also prevents opportunities and exploration. Maybe the ultimate red pill here (one I've taken in the past) is the "fuck it" attitude and involve EVERYONE then let the chips lay where they fall and deal with whatever comes up or just simply not give a fuck AT ALL. Next level not giving a fuck.

Profit: Stable but overall trending down over the last 4 years, no thanks to the money masters taking a bigger cut. Need to diversify client base on the primary income activities.... Don't want to cut spending because fuck that, the plan is to increase and go for more! (focus on quality)

More ripped: This is interesting. Have made huge progress on the body fat ratio but have also killed weight and "mass" as part of the process. I have stripped 6 kilograms in two months so my target of 90kg of power is currently at 82kg but LEAN. Flexibility is WAY up (stretching nightly) and movement in general feels way more light and free. I feel like a whip now rather than a baseball bat. Solution: Keep doing what I'm doing but eat MORE to make up for the mass reduction.

Gentlemen, so far there have been some fantastic goals shared here, however I believe that there is even more value in sharing actions you've taken in order to achieve your goal and the obstacles/temptations that you have overcome to achieve the goals mentioned.

The initial purpose of this thread was to post to keep us accountable and then people self-report on progress. Typically people will only share once they have met their goal, however I think that as a group our strength really lies in the support and actionable advice others can provide to stay on track and nail those goals

Report in, what challenges are you facing on the journey? I'm sure other guys can help!

So my goal is to save and invest $20k this year, but I'm finding I'm getting all kinds of advertising for new clothes, after a ling period when I havne't spent anything on myself.

I could easily drop $200-$300 on jeans to impress people at work as I have had the same pair for about 7-8 years.. There are even brands sending me sales for new shirts and jeans that are tempting me away from my goal. It sounds dumb but I have had to consciously say no to myself and realign with the long term goal here. I didn't realise advertising was so pervasive and repetitive. I've worn office gear instead and appear over-dressed and stand out a bit on those days, but remain on track.

2. Workout
- Same as above and I know it's excuse
3. Reading
- Finished two books so far, been reading a lot of news/articles also.
- Almost done with another book, so I am on a good track to read one book per month.
4. Self-development seminars
- I was registered for a 3 day self-development seminar, but was cancelled due to work again...
