Are incels more likely to develope addictions?

As a young man who hasn't had sex yet, I just noticed that I started wanting to eat sugary, salty junk food all the time around when I turned 18, which was around the time I started desiring sex. Came across a few articles talking about how when you don't get sexual pleasure you turn to food or other means to get it. If this is so then wouldn't this be common in very conservative cultures? Anyone have any thoughts on this?

It's not the desire, but the masturbation it brings about that promotes comfort eating.

When you ejaculate, you squirt out proteins, electrolytes, zinc and vitamins. Your body wants to snack to replenish them. The problem is that snackfood brings a lot of calories.

If you are unwilling to give up masturbation, then at least have some healthy food around to satisfy your post-ejaculatory urges.

Firstly, don't refer to yourself as an incel. You're just an 18 year old young man who hasn't got laid yet. It's more common than you might think. Am incel is a man who had made a choice to forgo sex because he is unwilling to improve himself and prefers to live the life of a loser. You're not there yet.

Secondly, I'm going to go out on a limb and assume that you're an introvert. If I'm correct, introversion is certainly a risk factor for developing addictions. There are no hard and fast rules, but introverts tend to experience more negative thoughts than introverts, and often make up for this by "rewarding" their brain with addictive substances, whether it be junk food, alcohol or other drugs. If you're prone to negative thought patterns, eating a pile of junk food will absolutely release happy hormones in your brain and make you feel better about yourself in the moment. But as I'm sure you know, in the long term it will cause your negative thoughts to spiral even deeper.

Do you know what is the best cure for negative thoughts? Good nutrition and exercise. Of course this is nowhere near as easy as stuffing your face with doughnuts, but only you can decide which choice you will make. You're in the prime of your life, and the choices you make now will set you up for either a lifetime of health and vitality, or being a depressed fatass that no girl will ever fuck. The cost of the first choice is a little effort, with rewards far in excess of the effort put in. There is no initial cost to the second choice, but you will certainly pay the price later. Picture yourself in 5 years time - lean, confident and strong with a rewarding sex life, from the choices you made starting today. Nobody is forcing Cheetos down your gullet.

You are not "incel". You are just an 18 year old kid. Not even an adult yet although people been telling you that you are now.

Food and sex trigger the same part of your brain. You are evolved to eat (stay alive) and to reproduce (keep DNA alive). You "feel" a "reward" when you accomplish these goals.

Watching porn triggers this "reward" as well. That is why porn is so bad.

An incel is someone who is "involuntarily celibate". Not because he is unwilling. Nobody chooses to be incel. Life is hard and 99.98% of all organisms die off. None of these organisms choose to die out. They just fail.

Only three ways to do something: "The right way. The wrong way. Or my way. Obviously my way is best."

Might be the other way around, personalities prone to addictions (gaming, porn, wanking, world of warcraft etc) forces you into an incel life.

The good news you also get a feel good rush from lifting heavy weights.

Choose your feel good source for life. Make good choices.

Don't think that getting jacked will solve you're problems if you don't approach. I started weight lifting in 2008 when I was 18, by the time I was 21 and at uni I was into it seriously and was pretty jacked, but I didn't know about approaching, so I never got laid.

These guys here act like lifting weights will solve all you're problems, but it doesn't. It probably just makes women more scared because you're testosterone is off the scale and they think you are gonna rape them.

I would focus on approaching first and getting the hang of female interaction before you work on anything physical. When you get big but don't know how to talk to women they get terrified quite easily.

They say... you crave foods with sugar whenever you don't feel love, or a lack of. You have a craving for salty foods whenever your anxious.

You have anxiety in regards to never having sex or a lack of. I recommend you get a gf, and just start gaining experience. Your young, so don't rush to become a player or master game.

Become the best version of yourself, and live your life how you wanna live it. Your 18 years old... the world is your oyster. Go create experiences.

Live, Laugh, Love....
