Back in the 90s, AOL would constantly send millions upon millions of CDs to American homes pimping their latest America Online software. People would keep getting CDs until they finally relented, installed the software, and signed up for the service.

Roosh related this to the Shirtless Satanist who constantly spammed youtube with a ton of low quality vids until people finally gave in and gave him a sub.
