Let this be a reminder for everyone to be VERY mindful whenever you talk to doctors and health care professionals. If they ask you whether you drink, and you say yes, they will ask how much.
They will then double whatever amount you tell them, since, after all, anyone who drinks is an alcoholic and all alcoholics lie.
It may sound paranoid, but according to friends in the medical field, this is how health care personnel are often trained. They take notes on what you say, which goes into a computer. Years go by and for some reason you're paying more than you should for life insurance down the road, a doctor is looking at you askance for some unrelated condition since, well, you're an alcoholic, he reasons. These are just a couple of possible costs based on "facts" you told them earlier without thinking.
If you are regular smoker, don't bother trying to hide it, but say you only smoke one or two cigars a year. That's all? Great. That means your tobacco use is ***ZERO*** not one or two cigars a year.
Be careful out there.
