Also, did you know each of his quotes is secretly marked? Just in case someone decides to fiddle with his post count...

"Analyze" his posts further and you might find even more hidden secrets.

Can you show an example of this? Not sure I noticed.

I've left it somewhat vague for a reason...

Try selecting some of his quotes (as if you were to copy paste them)

I've seen the messages !

Tell them too much, they wouldn't understand; tell them what they know, they would yawn.
They have to move up by responding to challenges, not too easy not too hard, until they paused at what they always think is the end of the road for all time instead of a momentary break in an endless upward spiral

'Don't touch me': Marco Rubio and Alex Jones clash

Can anyone offer some analysis of this interaction with Rubio? When Rubio says he doesn't know who Alex Jones is, i think he's trying to make sure he's not associated with the guy. I'm not huge fan of Rubio, but I thought Jones was way out of line here. I thought Marco handled the situation pretty well, but I'm also curious from "how to deal with a guy tooling you" perspective, about that aspect of the interaction.

Just gave the man a rep point.

Mines the info on the forum (which we all recommend but few of us actually do) Weathers the piss-taking without a murmur, and then leaves quality posts when he wants to.

A solid presence on the forum.

OH sorry I thought it was the Alex Jones Thread. Sorry about that!

Built to fade game:

Throw so much high quality love and affection at someone that it causes them to suffer withdrawal-like symptoms when BTF stops. Like a Junky when their Star Dealer disappears you sit clucking and hoping you will catch BTFs eye once again.

I called it first in this post.

On a more serious note, Built to Fade is a smart dude which is clear from his posts. I think he's forum savvy enough to know that getting too much unwarranted attention on ANY forum is a dangerous business. These sorta things derail; a bit like that infamous Little Dark quote -- "this thread isn't going the way I wanted". I can't speak for him -- but perhaps that's why he hasn't participated here?

Anyway, Built did answer about his likes on the other thread:

TL;DR: I'm a simple man. If I like your post, I will click the "like" button, usually within reason.

My "likes" are mainly for the newbies who are lurking the forum. Since many great threads drift away to page 50+ over time, liking a post will show on the "likes" history for an one stop shop of forum gold. I achieve this by utilising the "View New/Today's Posts" feature or searching through a topic that can impart in me a life lesson.

When the choice is between regurgitating a reply in a well discussed subject or [necro] liking a post, I err to liking the post. I am refraining from liking too many posts from certain threads.

In summary, it's better to have hyperinflation of likes than having hyperinflation of posts, such as the late August 2018 incident or those legends I've heard about 2/1.

That's a good enough answer for me.

I don't care if likes anything here or if he shows up. He can leave the forum for all I care. I don't need him anyway. My life was going just fine before I ever heard of him and I'll be just fine without him.

Very clever indeed from our mutual friend Built to fade. First, he inundates the market with good quality and inexpensive goods. Quickly, we all became addicted, as his sweet Likes were prodigally delivered on us. [Image: banana.gif]

Then, once the Likes market truly is his, surprise surprise: suddenly the provider alleges difficulties and disruption in the supply chain [Image: confused.gif]. Artificial, manufactured shortage of Likes, but shortage all the same: his customers, us, experience withdrawal syndrome. [Image: undecided.gif]

And of course the clever provider will now deliver his goods at a much reduced rate: "5-10% of the regular rate" and higher cost!

1. Denial - BtF is just busy and hasn't checked out this thread yet.
2. Anger - BtF has humiliated us by liking other threads but not this one. Why us? What sort of person even does that to someone?
3. Bargaining - If we write more witty comments in this thread, maybe BtF will come in and like them.
4. Depression - We're all going to die someday, so what would a few likes from BtF change? <--- YOU ARE HERE
5. Acceptance - We just can't force BtF to like anything in this thread. We have to live with it.

Holy shit! We have an imposter! Look closely at the user name of the guy who added likes.

Edit: And he even liked this post. It's like a heroin addict getting a sickly sweet dose of methadone.
