Gunwich justified?

I saw this over at Malafide. Gunwich may have been justified in shooting the crackwhore. She was attacking him with a knife. Even scarier is the fact that it takes more than one bullet at point blank range to kill a crack whore. So they may be almost invincible.

Even if you obliterate the heart with the first shot there is still enough oxygen in the blood for the person to do some damage. In the old west it was called a "Dead Man's 10 Seconds". http://www.wayofnoway.com/articles_10seconds.html

It sucks, black or white when your lower class, your considered a criminal off the bat and don't have access to a good lawyer to prove otherwise. Like it or not, when you make your feelings about women public, its pretty easy for a prosecutor to tear you apart. Gunwitch is very fortunate that things went in his favor.

His audio book is really good for beginners/people who listened to too much BS from phoney pickup artists. Too bad its not for sale anymore.

i mean he should have just found a better alternative to shooting her. maybe disarming her? throwing something at her? run away?

but then again depending on how big the knife is ect you need to have good coordination to disarm a chick without getting cut yourself and is alil risky. could have just shot her in the leg or something.

If somebody's coming at me with a deadly weapon I'm going to use every means at my disposal to defend myself. As far as I'm concerned the moment when they attack you with a knife is the moment when they lose all right to complain about getting killed if the person they attack also happens to have a deadly weapon.

He shot her with a .357 in the face.

I know that it happens, but its amazing that she survived that. It must have done mostly soft tissue damage, maybe passing through her cheek like Ed Norton in fight club. "She was treated and released". I cant imagine it penetrating her skull or her neck and not killing her instantly. A .357 round is the most proven man-stopper out there. Also, it's a bit overkill for a personal defense weapon at a private party, imo. I'm sure that others will disagree.

Did he have to shoot her in the face? His force was justified, but a shot to her arm or leg could have done the trick too.

But for all we know, he didn't have the time to take aim and shoot her. He just pulled the trigger as she was charging him.

Probably not. Ironically, hitting her in the trunk with the .357 would have surely killed her. She actually survived, likely, because he shot her in the face and it somehow missed all bone and passed through. However, I have no idea how he managed to do so little damage that she was released that night. It really must have passed through her cheek, even missing her jaw bone and teeth. That's pretty amazing. That bullet would have utterly destroyed any bone that it hit.

The only reliable pistol shot to the head is through the cranial ocular cavity - its gotta go through an eyeball. Lots of people are shot in the face with pistol bullets and survive. That's not to say I want want to go through that - but the cranium, jaw and teeth are all strong enough to defect most handgun bullets to the point where a vital organ is not damaged.

I'm sure. Undoubtedly, you have to get hit in the brain or an artery to actually get killed (head/neck region). However, I'm pretty sure a .357 bullet would obliterate someones jaw/nose/teeth, depending where it hit. Additionally, even if you were shot lower than the ocular cavity, I think if the bullet went through your maxilla, for instance, when it popped out the back of your neck it could/would sever your spinal cord. However, I dont really know. I'm neither a ballistics nor an anatomy expert. This is just 'mental masturbation' as some would say here.

I just dont understand how he managed to shoot someone in the face with such a high caliber round and miss any and all bone. That's what's amazing to me. Its hard to imagine how that occurs. I'm deducing this from the fact that she was released from the hospital, apparently, that night.

I recently had a DXA body scan, and the thickest, brightest, whitest part of my bones was my skull. The scan was part of an overall body composition scan, bones being part of it. Skulls are pretty dense. Another thing I was surprised to find out is that bones only consist of about 4.5% of your body weight.
