Do the style matter that much? or it is my illusion

Guys,

I am not a good looking by any mean. Two years ago I went back to gym and took care of my skin and clothing .

1- I am 5'6"
2- Average face
3- Fit : I look like I go to gym but I am not muscular
4- For the style, I have outstanding style. I got compliments from women all the time and guys too.

Here my struggle, I had girls turn their heads to check me out multiple times when I dress well.Sometimes those girls/ women were with their boyfriends/ husbands who are way better looking than me an even taller.

Not just this , a coworker has big crush on me . She blushes when I talk to her , breathes fast, plays with her earlobe and touches me very often. When I saw her boyfriend, he is not handsome but he is better looking than me .

All this happens when I dress well.

Since I have low self-confidence when it comes to women due to past experiences , I still can't believe they are checking me out.

Away from assuming attraction mindset which I try to maintain .
Do you think making those stylish change increased my SMV?

Height isn't everything, and what us men think makes us attractive is not always what clicks with the hamsters chicks keep running in their heads.

Lean body composition + not gay + style = girl crack

More muscles can light up more animal attraction in a lot of girls, but low body fat starts the journey. You are roughly my height. Back in the US how I dressed and my level of fitness strongly influenced the baseline level of how much girls were attracted to me independent of what I was doing at the time.

It is hard for men to judge how attractive male faces are to women without consulting women.

Keep on the self improvement and consider opportunities to leverage this coworker's infatuation as social proof.

Style is a part of frame, and frame is damn near every thing.

There's not much you can do about height, at least, not until scientists have figured out a way. I guess you could wear shoes that increase your height by an inch or two but you'll eventually be found out.

Don't compare yourself to other men, and what I mean by that is, we all have a limitation on how much we can improve our appearance (short of plastic surgery but don't do that it, you'll likely come out ugly). You don't need to be ripped or huge but having definition and some mass to those muscles really makes a difference. Take up a martial art (I recommend Jiu Jitsu) it will build your confidence and you'll be fearless in a confrontation, and girls take notice of a guy that commands respect.

I wouldn't invest in this coworker she's likely to get you into a #metoo sticky wicket that'll cost you your job. Deal with her cautiously

You should always continually try to improve yourself. With that said, there are some limitations in the realm of self-improvement, such as: height and skin color. In your case, dressing better has caused the women around you to have 'gina tingles because it's like seeing color added to a black and white film, it adds something new and fresh.

Girls are acutely aware of when a man changes his appearance. A man that doesn't take care of his hygiene, hair, clothes, and health is seen as lazy, lacking confidence, and devoid of reasonable sexual attraction. So, yes, your SMV has gone up and gone up by quite a bit judging from those women's reactions.

Having dressed better will always get you ahead of the rest in the crowd but know what you're dressing for because walking on the beach in a tailored suit is certainly out of place, unless, you're at a wedding hosted on the beach.

- If you want to maximize your appearance then continue to improve your style and any necessary tweaks to help you capitalize with girls you go after.

- Keep going to the gym. Your goal when you're at the gym is to put on more muscle and get definition, consider doing 'Intermittent Fasting' to get rid of any excess body fat and increase your testosterone. An increase in testosterone will naturally make you more dominant and give you the chiseled look girls would kill others just to be with you.

- Again, take up a martial art. You'll build natural confidence in the face of enemies who wish to break you both mentally and physically.

- Follow Roosh's '100 approaches' program to learn the basics of male-female interactions and to overcome approach anxiety. Following this program will actually help you when talking to others out in public. You'll learn how 'game' can be used for more than just getting laid that it's a mindset.

Roosh actually pointed out in 'Game' that he doesn't think style matters that much. I admit it was an eye opener for me. There was a time in my early 20s when my style was a huge boon to my game. But looking back, it was a crutch. I'm not saying to dress like a slob but style honestly gets way to much scrutiny and air time these days.

Keep in mind, way more guys are style conscience these days. That means the value of a "stylish guy" goes down as it's more common.

Use force of personality to stand out and it won't ever go out of style.

Thanks, Maybe I just need to believe those bitches like the way I look . I do not have to rationalize it based on style or anything . Attraction is not choice

Definitely I am using it as crutch as I am building the rest.

True. Opening bitch after she gave IOI's should be easier than the one who didn't. The game will take you from IOI to the pussy .

The Halo Effect is noteworthy in this regard:

"This man is dressed exceptionally well - therefore he must be an exceptional man."

Humans operate on a lot of subconscious assumptions like that.

So style won't get you laid per se, but it will give you attention.

And attention is very useful if you know how to leverage it.

Thank you all for the responses . Actually, the question is deeper than this ?
As I said before . The interest I am getting from the women recently has skyrocketed . I am not bragging . I just can't believe it.
Specially when I see those women with "hotter" guys. I am analytical guy so everything has to have reason .
So I was wondering if the style made that mush difference.

What really makes me think about this is the above-mentioned coworker . The way she threw herself at me made feel her boyfriend is way below me in look department, but he is not. Upon to this moment, this coworker checks me out overly . (DO not worry, I won't shit where I eat )

Another instance was last weekend, a woman was with two guys both are taller than me . She gave all the possible IOI. I didn't approach because in my mind why would she pick me over those tall guys. Finally she went out of her way to approach me.

It seems that I need to accept the fact some women find me attractive as I am . Or maybe what women find it hot different than what I see as hot. Or Maybe some women like my look plain and simple.

By the way, I do not lack in the other department . I am sociable, have a good job, very outgoing ,...ec.t

Yes, it does make a difference. Women express attraction in subtle ways, so some may find you attractive without you noticing. Approaching is the only way to find out.

Depends on the environment and on the girl. My hot ex didn't like me wearing a shirt whereas a hot girl I know likes men in suits, James Bond style.

Overall, style definitely gets you noticed. Girls like window shopping, they like a stylish guy. It's something they don't have to worry about when going out with you. They look but they won't touch same as they would look at a stylish girl.

I think it opens more doors however you still need 'banter' to get through them. A guy who has much greater banter but wears for example shorts and sandals will be more attractive after a minute of conversation

Thank you , of course there is no substitute for a good game . But if style opens door, why not using it.

Update :
I work in large US corporate . I went today to work dressing my best.
1- Beige Linen Blazer (massimo dutti
2- Black shit ( banana republic )
3-Slim fit Blue jeans, fitted on my waist ( j crew )
4- Beige suede loafer (Cole Haan)
5- Colorful scarf ( Hugo Boss)

A lot of hot girls/ women couldn't help it but started conversation with me. I got also a lot of checking out and some of them gave me bottom to top look .

Definitely made me feel good.

Yes and no.

Having a good style can give you more attention. It does not neccesary make you more sexually attractive. For many guys style works against them that way. They dress like "provider nice guys" instead of "sexual adventure guy". Result be that most girls want to date you instead of fuck you.

I bet most of your problems with girls come from insecurity. Not your looks. Not your clothes.

Only three ways to do something: "The right way. The wrong way. Or my way. Obviously my way is best."
