Are you a psychopath? (Quiz)

I got 27. Close!

As for a test for sociopathy... no need. Just use this one. Not a psychologist but I have a deep interest in the subject. Someone here correct me if I'm wrong but here is my understanding. Sociopathy and psychopathy are two ways of describing the same mental illness, which is antisocial personality disorder. The difference is (they think) that psychopaths are genetically led to these behaviors and ideas due to different "wiring" neurologically, while sociopaths learn to be what they are due to life experiences. In other words psychopaths are born and sociopaths are made.

Are you a psychopath? (Quiz)

This test assumes that all psychopaths are criminals, therefore making it quite innacurate for their characteristics.
I think one of the biggest characteristis of psychopathy is the lack of empathy, but not the lack of sympathy. Therefore why it is easier for a psychopath to live a normal life if raised in a normal household. I think psychopathy is more of a spectrum in its diagnosis rather than a black or white disorder. Just what I think.

Are you a psychopath? (Quiz)

Scored 21 and not all that surprised. I have some dark elements in me, but I have always kept myself in check as I can believe in people too much and do have a soft spot in me overall.

I think low scores quate very high levels of discipline and impulse control. If you were a good student as a kid, got good grades, always were on point and on time with things, this can suppress your scores. I don't think being a good kid who is smart is a bad thing, of course; it just would likely reflect differences in scores. High discipline and impulse control can probably keep you away from dangerous situations that can potentially trigger or exacerbate bad traits. For me, my only saving grace, I think, is that I never got into hard drugs. I feel that drugs would have unleashed the monster I have the capacity of becoming. Staying away from drugs has kept me grounded enough to keep my good traits in a flow.

If you were a troubled/bad kid, then it is hard to interpret the broad crime questions. As a former child criminal, I knew the rules and knew what I could get away with crime wise. Once I turned 18 the party stopped as I knew child/adult charges were night and day and didn't see the value in risking it anymore. One example, in Canada, property theft is charged based on value and has a category of a minor offence being theft under $5K. In theory, you could get the same charge for stealing a chocolate bar as you could a DVD player. So in my mind, why would I waste time on the chocolate bar when I could jack a DVD player and sell it for money. Is this being a psychopath or just being smart? Again you manipulate the rules to serve you best, call it crazy if you would like, but this was very much my rationale and mindset while young.

Back to the test, I also find that if you are prone to manipulate situations, massage (or break) rules then this will skew your results towards the top scores. The point of no return is if you lack empathy which then ultimately means you are a monster void of a soul (more sociopathic if anything). When you lack understanding, you go about your day manipulating all and everything and everyone solely for your gain with no care of the consequences.

Overall, I wear my score with pride because those who have eccentric tendencies that would score high on this test also tend to cluster highly among the most successful business and artistic wise. To do great things you have to be a little bit tweaked out. Nobody who is average or below average does anything extraordinary.

Are you a psychopath? (Quiz)

Scored 5.

Would have been probably lower 1-2 years ago.

I'm the typical nice guy. Master of restraint. Very difficult to lie. Never did anything illegal. Always concerned about others.

Very focused on long term goals which at least led me to a prestigious and respected profession now in my thirties.

Got drunk about 5 times in my life. Never tried to smoke weed even once because it was illegal, you get the picture.

Are you a psychopath? (Quiz)

I got a 25.

I've been fighting off psychopathic/sociopathic thoughts tendencies for a long time now. Had a rough childhood. Extremely abusive military father (imagine the first 18 years of your life being nothing but hazing and bootcamp) I know the violence that was apart of him is apart of me. I tried so hard as a kid and a teen to become someone else, but I'm afraid as the older I get the more I become like him. As a kid I could never figure out why he was so angry. He had it all. Beautiful wife, nice house, great job... the works... But he was always just pissed. Now I work 50+ hours a week, fuck beautiful women on a weekly basis and have some nice assets to my name. But when I come home from work I sound just like him.

I was never a bully to anyone in Highschool. I was never the sadistic frat boy type who could piss on pledges and ridicule the nerdy kid in class. Most people who grew up with me would tell you I was very kind and a respectable gentlemen. Yes sir, no sir. Some of the military stuff has been put into me at an early age so I often have folks older then me say "I can see you parents raised you right..." as I shake their hand, look them in the eye, am extremely polite. But they don't know about a lot of the anger I'm hiding. I am VERY good at hiding my psychopathy. But another thing I don't have in common with other psychopaths is I do feel anxiety depending on the situation.

These days I suffer from bouts of what only be described as pent up homicidal anger, I am a minor criminal (But I hold down a white collar corporate job during the day), and I do extreme things to feel a lot. When I'm not angry, I'm emotionless.

There's nothing "cool" or "Edgy" about being a psychopath. There's so many books written by "self proclaimed psychopaths" who just go on and on about how cunning and manipulative they are and "OMG NO ONE KNOWS I"M SECRETLY A PSCYHO hehehehe if they only knew." They're liars.

It's bullshit. It sucks having psychopathic thoughts. I can't feel a single solitary positive emotion about most things. It's all anti-natal - the worlds a shit hole, humans are just brutal animals. I yearn for joy, happiness and love and all I have is feeding my sex addiction, drinking, fantasizing about killing the people who pisses me off at work. 90 % men are my competitors, not my friends and women are untrustworthy sexual commodities. I gave up on relationships with the opposite sex along time ago. My relationships with women are for the most part purely transactional and my sexual encounters mostly consist of how I can achieve the best organism while acting out my porn warped fantasies.

My best theory for my psychopathy is all the abuse I endured conditioned me to lose capacity for empathy. I also think military conditioning in general is meant to make you a psychopath. The military needs killers. This is what hazing is. They brutalize you. They sexually humiliate you (Anyone who's been in the military knows the most common derogatory names you'll get called your drill sergeants are "Pussy", "Faggot" "Shrimp Dick" "Sissy" "Nancy Boy" "Limp Dick" "Be a man, not some pansy girl you queer!!" That on the long term and all the harsh conditions will rid you of all your human qualities until there's nothing left, but nothing.

Scored an 18 on this assessment. Right about where I thought I'd fall. Probably had a lot to do with the sometimes toxic nature of my past dealings with women and/or former authority figures (family, etc.) in my life when I was younger. And also impulsive decisions at times in the past heh.

Are you a psychopath? (Quiz)

Real psychopathy tests conducted on criminals tend to be a combination of interviews, questionnaires and criminal record/medical history reviews. There are many online psychopathy tests similar to this one that take a few questions out of actual psychopathy questionnaires and are definitely not accurate tools for determining whether a person is a psychopath not. To be fair, however, I assume these tests can show if an individual has some psychopathic traits.

You're not a psychopath. You're the victim of a psychopath.

You likely have (complex) PTSD and/or other stuff like avoidant personality disorder. Everything you're describing is a symptom of complext PTSD including your sex addictions.

I also grew up with a psychopath in my family.

Interesting, semi-related concept. The pro-volved, psychopathic Bitenic Squid.

Quote:Quote:

Bitenic squids are always totally unique mentally speaking, having brains developed in peculiar directions and with highly idiosyncratic goals. Many behave as if they were crazy or obsessed from a human point of view, but it is hard to judge - especially those bitenic squids with extreme enhancements. As a rule they are selfish, fast and mercurial. They have no empathy, although Actives can often perform highly accurate modeling of other beings. One emotion they seem to share with humans is curiosity. Some bitenic squids are notable researchers, explorers and collectors.
