Street harassment 'relentless' for women and girls in the United Kingdom

The BBC reported today that "Women and girls across the UK face "relentless" harassment on the street and not enough is being done to stop it, MPs say.

The committee heard evidence that street harassment was widespread, from being shouted at and cat-called through to sexual assaults.

They also heard it took place in a number of public spaces - on transport, in bars and clubs, through online spaces, at universities, in parks and on the street.

The alleged scale of harassment is that 64% of women have experienced sexual harassment in public, rising to 85% of women 18-24 years old."

Source: BBC on SA

Gents, in my opinion this is complete bullshit. Logically, it's impossible. Over 57% of females in the UK are overweight or obese and anyone who'll tell me that majority of male population crave sex with overweight or obese women, I'll laugh in their face. Statistically, half the women are of average or worse physical attractiveness anywhere in the world. UK is below the average as any sane man will agree. I can spend all day out in public in a major UK city to see just a few cute or better girls, usually with their girlfriends or boyfriends anyway, rendering harassing virtually impossible, even if one would want to cat-call for some unfathomable reason.

What feminists are pushing out will one day make so draconian laws, most men will actively avoid any potential contact with females in a public space.

How on earth, did they end up (possibly skilfully manipulating the questionnaire) with 85%? I would like to see the methodology, collation and interpretation of the 'data'.

I've spend hundreds upon hundreds of hours trawling streets, parks, cafés, supermarkets, you name it, of big UK cities and NOT once, not once I have witnessed a male harassing a woman in a public space. I'm not exaggerating - literally, not a single time. Period. And I have much better social acuity than most people. In fact, it is the opposite - most men are so timid they don't even have enough courage to keep eye-contact with women in a public space.

What is, among other things, being proposed is "Tougher laws to ensure pub landlords take action on sexual harassment". You start with pubs, then bars, clubs and other night time venues enforcing laws discouraging male from any interaction in those places. You'll think twice, under CCTV in a bar, if to talk to this blonde at the bar because, well, because hw can you know she's there to drink a drink and not to talk to anyone? And what man wants to get on a Sex Offender Registry just for beginning some conversation? Once anything a man does towards a woman in a public space become interpretable as public harassment, all dating will happen only in the online space. A win for women, a loss for almost all men. In ten years, the dating market in the UK will become a raw impossibility for 95% men, I'm afraid to say.

What British state owned media are pushing is downright lie regarding male to female relations and it will have long-time pernicious ramifications of epic proportions.

Ksbms well said.

If bars, discos etc prevent men from talking to a woman do you guys think they will be able to charge ridiculous markups on alcohol? Would guys line up like idiots for the privilege to enter an establishment. Hell no!

As for online being the safety net for women. They are still going to complain.

I only have experience dealing with British women from living in Qatar for 2 years. I noticed that they similar to Arab women, wear 2 lbs of makeup. Subjectively, not attractive on the whole for my liking. As for them complaining about harassment, they probably love the attention because of all the thirsty men in the uk or in Qatar who hit on them. Don’t put on so much makeup and dress however you want but if you wear a top meant to display cleavage, don’t be surprised if guys look.

To be fair there are guys who do harass women. Bad game and bad social awareness can be blamed as well. Then again, if a girl doesn’t like you it doesn’t matter, she can say it’s harrassment even if you hold the door for her when entering a building.

They can try fixing the harassment issue in the uk but social engineering will have similar results like the 1 child China policy or femicide practiced in India.

If we as men could just control ourselves, all these women could get on with doing important science, building great companies, and reducing our impact as a species on the planet.

Well, we all know how critical it is for people to assimilate to the culture of the newcomers. Can you imagine what would have happened throughout history if this fundamental rule hadn't always been observed?

Ksbms, to be honest I do not doubt that some british women in some areas face "relentless harassment". I would not be shocked to learn this is a phenomenon restricted to the more diverse and enriched areas of the scepter'd isle. Nevertheless, the Beeb will conveniently use the story to paint every white Anglo Saxon male with this brush.

It's nothing new; we had one angry incel muslim woman-hater shoot a bunch of females in a university, and the narrative since that day has been that all Canadian males are just a hair-trigger away from being mass-murdering mysoginists.

This might actually be true, (the 85 percent part) simply due to the migrant influx in the UK! Politicians and journalists are also complaining about an increase in violence against gays in France these days. Of course they will go total Orwellian in their proposed explanation for this to avoid addressing the obvious; Immigration and Islam!

No girl is gonna claim harassment when you walk up to her custom suited down and say "what's up"

No girl you actually want to approach is going to claim harassment period.

The girls that are going to claim harassment don't have to be worried about being harassed, and the guys that will have claims brought against them aren't going to be the 1%ers.

Sadly the thirst is very real.

My girl is a smokeshow; frankly she's drop dead gorgeous.

She cannot go anywhere. Anywhere at all by herself without being constantly hassled by men.

Shopping, check.
Coffee with friends, check.
Gym alone, check.
Gentle walk for some fresh air, check.
Supermarket, check.
Uber, check.

For sure, it is most often black or asian men but it is incessant and very aggressive. If she goes for a walk guys will crawl alongside in their cars shouting at her etc etc.

It is a genuine problem.

If British men are actually sexually harassing English women, they need to stop being so thirsty. English women, with few exceptions, are a truly repulsive lot. My guess is that this is just more #metoo attention whoring because alpha men are ignoring your average British fatty.

Easy bro. I was only being mildly skeptical about your girl's complaints. Yes it can be annoying, but also, that is part of the price you pay for beauty, which, let's not pretend, has its perks as well.

Also, I don't see what your girl's experience has to do with the OP, which is all about how women lie and pretend their lives are harder than they are and that they are more attractive than they are.

For your post to have relevance to the females of the UK, they would all have to be smoke shows just trying to go about their day and being harrassed by horrible men.

Anyone believe that? All these retiring beauties? These sensitive hot house flowers who never bovvered no one? Is that what English women are all about?

You’d think I’d have noticed this at least once. After all it is “relentless”. Yet I’ve heard more women complain that men are too shy to approach them.

Is this due to a boom of daygame?

Recommended to record consent prior to sexual interactions now if you are living in London or other liberal cities. It is a game killer but I am hearing lots of stories from men who are being accused of sexual assault/rape and being arrested/interviewed for it despite there being no evidence.

It is getting more extreme now and I imagine that this will become more and more the norm.

This is why I cringe when I see suggestions to "approach everything" or make 1000 approaches to get pussy.

All these thirsty, newbie, men are harassing women all the time.

Better to advocate only approaching women that give you the IOIs or doing tactical socially calibrated approaches that are not aggressive, intimidating or annoying.

I had no idea daygame had reached such proportions to the degree it’s causing national harassment.

I suspect this has little to do with daygame though.

With the risk of sounding solipsistic, I’ve heard women complain more often that men don’t approach any more and I’ve heard foreign women say that British men are kind and look after women far more than the macho men in their home countries.

Awesome post!

British women are definitely pretty ugly on average, but in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king. They aren't competing against Copocabana beach babes walking down the street in Stoke on Trent. With that being said there are (some) attractive women so whether the normies get any attention or just the the relatively few attractive women get hit on remains to be seen.

However, I find in the UK the average attractiveness is very very dependent on the socio ecoonmic status of an area. The poorer the area, the fatter the people basically. I don't think there is any dispute about that. https://bmjopen.bmj.com/content/bmjopen/...2.full.pdf I find it harder to tell in other countries because the nuances of socio econmics and social class are harder to grasp as an outsider. Anyway, if you go somewhere "nice" the birds are basically often fit and if you go to the aforementioned Stoke on Trend, as an example, they are not. So the fatties tend to be grouped with the fatties and the honies with the honies, is the point I'm making. So I'm not sure the relatively ugliness of your british bird is an issue.

The stats are bull though - As you rightly state harassment in the UK is rare. The figures don't add up - If you think about it all older women have been 18-24 at in the past but only 65% of them have ever been sexual harassed. The implication being that in the <current year> sexual harassment is a lot more prevalent than it was in past. And we're supposed to believe that 85% of women are harassed now! #meetoo - I was looked at by a beta. I'd put it along the statistical figures on the number of sexual partners women and men have supposedly had. Absolute bollocks you would expect from the BBC.(cunts that they are.)

Most people have experienced some form of sexual harassment at some point in their lives. Who's never had their arsed pinched by a girl in a club or something like that or had a rowdy bunch of drunks making comments. Probably more blokes than women in reality. It's completely meaningless because if you count getting stare raped as sexual harassment the whole world's gone mad.

Sadly the UK justice system is fucked as they continually bring in stupid laws that have far reaching and disastrous consequences to appease what is in reality a very small minority of rabid feminists and BBC journalists. Most people are actually sick of the PC crap. Even old people (70+) who aren't on social media are openly talking about it now I find. Most of them are glad they'll be dead before the whole country goes to hell.

Requiring pub landlords to somehow police the sexual market place is a prime example of this. As a landlord you risk massive fines, so what are you going to do as a land lord. Obviously clamp down hard to anything that could possibly look like a man trying his luck with a (fat) bird. Yet another area of life made worse by the government. More pubs closing. More online dating as you say.

It's just a constant creep. Online dating will get hit by the goverment's law hammer before too long. I'm sure they will do something like make it the site's reponsibility to ensure the safety of the woman. That's what the UK goverment always does. Puts law enforecement on the plate of the private company with the threat of fines/prision for the non compliant. It's not like it's the police's job to lock people up. Fuck no. Employee an illegal immigrant - 5k fine. Not the border agencies job to regulate who's in the country it's yours sunny jim.

What will become law, in my opinion, is legislation that will make unwanted sexual approaches against the law. Obviously the fact that it's impossible to know if someone wants to have sex with you until you ask either outright or tacitly, won't matter. The whole push is towards ending the presumption of innocence in common law. This kind of stuff is just a brick in the wall towards that I think. Well it won't end for some things, but I believe eventually we will have a two speed judicial system where sexual cases are treated differently to other cases.

This country has fallen very far.

Street harassment 'relentless' for women and girls in the United Kingdom

And it will only get worse.

BBC just today made a main page headline that Google staff walk out over women's treatment. It's all over news, from Bloomberg to New York Times (which was the first to publish it).

If you think that these women were physically abused, unpaid overtime, got no maternity leave, or were paid less than the male's wage - fear not. It's about what... she said and a company's decision to use arbitrage for that reason, as per below:

'Staff at Google offices around the world are staging an unprecedented series of walkouts in protest at the company's treatment of women.

The employees are demanding several key changes in how sexual misconduct allegations are dealt with at the firm, including a call to end forced arbitration - a move which would make it possible for victims to sue."

Make notice it is treated as fact she was a victim, even though there is no corroborating evidence whatsoever to the alleged claim - only what she said.

So, what kind of sexual harassment issue were Google's employees so frenetic about?

"On Tuesday, another executive - this time from the company’s X research lab - also resigned. Richard DeVaul was said to have made unwanted advances towards a woman who was recently interviewed for a job in which she would have reported to Mr DeVaul."

What advances? To quote from Bloomberg, "DeVaul invited a job candidate to the Burning Man festival and asked her to remove her shirt so he could give her a back rub in 2013"

Yes, this is qualified as SA now. The woman did not get a job at Google X. Read it again. A woman without having a job at a company XYZ, can go to the HR department two years later and make a flimsy complaint to have an executive director sacked. This is fucking mental, as they's say in Scotland.

But it took her two full years to recall it did allegedly happen. Why? Hmm...

The legal right of presumption of innocence is in shambles. No article in the major news outlets sides with the accused and the principle of innocent until proven guilty. It is enough today for a woman, to say a man allegedly asked her to remove her shirt, to have an executive director's at Google X working there for years, destroyed. This is mad. And now, all the employees in key HQ walked out in protest that he didn't suffer enough! She should've been able to sue him in court, make him an official sex offender, lose job, perhaps wife, family, and never get a job again. I deplore all the men who left the offices believing those allegations of a non-employee, especially its CEO, Sundar Pichai for bending backwards to appease women's "mistreatment" at a company.

The other ramifications are how easily it will become for women disrupt and destroy businesses, manpower, manhours, schedules, and disrupt economy in general. Today, if you dare to make any advances towards a female employee, your days will be counted - what I recommend is, have an audio recorder ON in your phone, paired up with good quality headphones at your workplace, so no woman, for her personal reasons, can destroy your career at a flick of her finger. The irony is... the flimsy allegation was put forward by a non-employee at non-workplace.

How fucked up is that?

Where in Europe are they cracking down on "harassment" the most, where is all the outrage coming from?

Very concerning. There will be a tipping point though, as even many women really dislike false rape accusations because it delegitimises genuine ones.
