Kazantip makes no sense. If you want to party go to Yevpatorya instead but then again I do not believe much in resorts.

Yes I gave up my interest in Kazantip, paying a lot of money to dance with girls on the beach, you can do that for free.

I'm afraid some of the posters on this thread are mistaking Golden Sands for Varna.

Yes, the airport is in Varna, but Golden Sands is about 20km from Varna., Many tourists think they are in Varna, because Golden Sands is in "Varna District".

Golden Sands has many western tourists.
Varna doesnt, and is almost exclusively a base for Bulgarians and other Eastern European tourists who dont want to holiday at the more expensive, commercialised & westernised resorts in Bulgaria.

I have been going to Varna for 10 summers - sometimes 4-6 weeks at a time, and have NEVER seen any British stag parties, nor any hordes of drunken Germans or Brits.
They are based in Golden Sands, 20km away.

EE girls at a Varna beach bar.

Sunny Beach has Russian and polish tourists however being there has two crucial disadvantages:
1. You are considered a cheapo by Russian girls for choosing this place
2. The clubbing is completely dominated by English so girls in clubs are likely to view you as a stagger.
For the same reason Balkan girls who reside on Sunny Beach do not view foreigners ppositively.

On the other hand, I spent a couple of days in Burgas city proper a few years back, just next to Sunny Beach. It was a run-down smallish city back then, all the package holidaymakers went to the resorts like Sunny Beach, even Nesebar and similar, smaller, nicer places, so absolutely zero competition in the city. I hang out with some cute, local girls, even with close to zero day game, who were actually interested in what a foreigner is doing there.

One person's experience can be quite different from another's.

Went to sunny Beach for a 'safari' one night - exactly the shithole others have already described it.

Yes, I think Burgas is a good option for the reasons you have given (though I havent been there), but might have a look this summer during my stay in Varna.

Burgas also has an international airport and the city is compared as a smaller version of Varna.
I have heard good reports of Burgas recently, and have been told on several occasions that there have been huge renovation and general improvements in Burgas centre over the last few years.

Nearby Sunny Beach is for the 18-30 western european lager louts.

I was meditating on the original question a bit, and my conclusion is, I'd go to Sochi, and the surrounding area. If for no other, then for the sole reason there is no report on the area here. I heard Anapa is a cheaper, more youthful version of Sochi.

I was a bit underwhelmed by Sochi, though, I believe I was there too early in the season and wouldn't bother going until the calendar turns to July. Though, the surrounding area is extremely beautiful if you are looking for other excursions.
