In my short visits to Southern Europe and having met a lot of women from that part of the world, I would agree with the sentiment earlier in the thread that the quality is lacking compared to other parts of Europe. While I have definitely met some stunners from Spain, I'd say Italy probably takes the cake for having the least attractive women in all of Europe when both looks and personality are concerned. Strangely enough I have met better looking Italian women born and raised in the western world (Italian American and Canadian women of that heritage) than women right out of Italy.

I have a theory about all of this though, countries and cultures where the local men are more aggressive towards tourist women (Southern Europe being a great example) in general have uglier women. The local men are tired of dealing with such low quality that as soon as a tourist comes along they are swarming her and trying to lock her down.

It goes even for places anywhere in the world despite culture where the local women are generally low value.

Compare this with guys from more tame cultures who don't cold approach as aggressively, they have no need to do it because they are spoiled with beautiful women in their vicinity and in many cases tourist women could be a step down.

I am in Valencia for a while and I can go maybe a day without seeing a good looking girl. I did not expect this.

Great on you for digging up random articles on the internet, you can find the weirdest thing happening in almost country, was a local Italian woman not caught having sex in the dumpster with a refugee?

Obviously, the statistics biased towards Euro countries and the west will say that the countries are safer for women and I won't argue that Italy is worse than the Middle East. Yet, compared to the more civilized part of Europe in the north, Italy has issues with creepy aggressive local men who even travel to Eastern Europe with their sex touristy ways so you have that in common with that Turks.

If you want to feel better than the third world, go for it, but it is not the best standard to hold yourself to. The fact of the matter is you are far behind genetically and culturally than your Northern European counterparts and the "aggressive" game would be considered borderline rape in most places. It barely gets mentioned much since Italy is in Europe though in history even your whiteness has been a subject of great debate.
