When the left does try and pick up the pace in the meme war, they only succeed in becoming the meme, resorting to writing playbooks on how to meme and selling them for money with the biggest company in the world:

How daring. How provocative.

You can't be to dominant top-down culture and the edgy resistance at the same time.

I've heard many explanations for why the Left can't meme effectively, and I was never quite satisfied as to which one it was. Then I realized, that out of all those hundreds of different explanations, the answer was "yes". ALL of them were true. And they hate it, because it portrays them as humorless douches they truly are.

I would love to get some other takes on this. Can anyone relate to this process of cognition? Can anyone who has a heavy internal monologue explain their process of cognition? I find this rather fascinating.

It's hard to be sure since the process of thinking about what you're thinking affects your thinking. I definitely have the monologue going when I read, write, or speak. Writing or speaking it seems to be a first pass before I actually type or say anything, to make sure what I'm saying sounds correct and considering how people will react to what I say. Daydreaming seems to have a dialogue as well. The other cases with internal monologues are any kind of strategic thoughts. For example planning my day out or during a board game. Especially anything with a large action space where I want to select the best option.

Other stuff is either automatic, or based in visual imagery or sounds. Any complex or dexterous task that has to be done with precise timing I have to block out any overthinking or else I'll mess up, such as playing the piano or tennis.

The best way I can describe all of this is that I can easily be "in my own head", and while not necessarily verbal I'm processing some internally manufactured sense data. I can sit in a waiting room and just think to pass time, while I observe others need to pull out their smartphones and peck at them.

It's really quite fascinating. I always assumed that the conscious experience of others was fundamentally the same as mine, now when I go out I keep having this nagging thought that I might really just be surrounded by zombies.

I tend to have a lot of inner dialog as well. I like to sit on the front porch, having a coffee, and think about what I need to do for the day. It's as if I am having a conversation with myself. I will even ask questions and then answer them.

This conversation reminded me of a video I just watched of a mathematical genius who see numbers as shapes and colors. When he thinks about a math problem, the numbers will start appearing on a screen, in his head, and after a little while he will just start rattling them off as they scroll. It is quite amazing.

I think what brought me to Game in the first place was dissatisfaction with the way my head worked and I'd never want to put it up as an example for others to follow. I'd go out and never speak to people, the typical beta observer on the wall. I was clearly out of sync with the world around me. I have fleeting moments of abstract mental flow but to be honest I'm probably talking to myself in my head most of the time. The dialog plays faster than reading or verbalizing sentences, with skipped words and whatnot, emotional thoughts are definitely less of a dialog than solving problems or making decisions. If you've ever 'typed faster than you think' and created a strange shorthand line, that might resemble something like my head dialog.

I aspire to get into a state like yours. I think the root of the problem is that I've lived my whole life suppressing gut instincts and second guessing myself, not unlike the way many boys are raised these days. I've somehow been trained to believe that my feelings are always wrong. Even after years of redpill I still haven't truly killed the beta infecting my mind, the fight rages on.

Sometimes the inner dialog is motivational things like 'here we go' or 'shake it off', often it is rehearsing future events or brooding over past ones, lots of fantasizing as well. 'ooh lets try that' or 'no thats a bad idea' when its time to make a decision. It isn't really like there is another person in there, the dialog comes across as a negotiation between my instincts, memory and calculations. There used to be a lot of negative self talk happening, I'd beat myself up with hindsight constantly. At some point during those dark depressed unemployed incel years I somehow concluded that I've got to stop being so mean to myself and be on my own team. I still catch myself doing it sometimes. Clearly something in my mind still holds a low self-value, otherwise I wouldn't have stuck with my latest shitty LTR for so long.

I don't think you can just flip a mental switch and become chad, my mental dialog is a lot healthier than it has been but it is still frustrating. My career puts me in a frustrating subservient people pleaser position which isn't good for it.

I believe that weed has a STRONG impact on the NPC state. In my opinion, weed is like meditation for some it can calm down the inner monologue and cause people to be great thinkers and innovators. For other, however, I feel it dumbs them down and turns them into mindless followers.

Also, NPC tend to use more emotion than logic, so it has to be some sort of correlation.

They can't meme because they are not in touch with reality. Nor do they want to be.

And reality is funny and tragic, and tragedy is the root of all gut busting comedy. In fact most truly hilarious comedy is black, the Irish are extremely adept at it.

Pc's refuse to lie to ourselves about the state of the world or ourselves, saying things how they are is sad and yet damn funny in equal measure. It even provides comfort in bearing the world, which is often one of the reasons people live to laugh and tell jokes. Telling the truth. Revelling in it.

I want to laugh at how things ACTUALLY are. I want to be falling out of my seat, cheeks aching, tears down my face. Because I know it's true.

For people who suffer from too much inner monologue which can affect things like socializing, sleeping and even approaching women I recommend meditation. Really helps keep it under control.

I first encountered the term NPC when I started playing Dungeons&Dragons, and Traveller, about the same time Brett Kavanagh was NOT running a gang rape ring.

Is like to play the old Infinity Engine title Ice Wind Dale. It's all very solipsistic as I use single player mode. Still, as you wander around the environs and mouse over NPCs it will show you their names. In 90% of the cases of the have a generic name like "Townperson" they are useless or at worst a waste of you time.

I'm not familiar with MMOGs and such: is it obvious when you encounter another human? Do you know who is a not and who is not?

Taking this IRL, so many people ae like bots. And the minority who are in a quest might work with you or against you.

This scene from the movie could be dubbed with something political and would work just as well - just use some Trigger-words and see the automatic responses.

Old school represent! When the meme emerged I instantly understood the term - from tabletop RPGs like the ones you mention, not videogames...

Absolutely - not only does the game display it differently, but the name like "UberSmashIRox42141" is a dead giveaway [Image: banana.gif]

Just found out the significance of this meme
It is dark, unsettling..and very effective.

I can see why so many far leftists are offended by it. It displays them to a tee

This meme is genius.

Leftists are not outraged that the meme dehumanises them; they are angry that it shines the light on the fact that they have dehumanised themselves. The realisation that for all of their slacktivism and 'original' revolutionary ideas they are nothing higher than Pavlov's dogs, screeching their 2 minutes hate at whatever target their masters ring the bell at.

As always, they will double down rather than wake up. Outrage.exe initialised.

The meme becomes even clearer and they are at the same time puzzled when they analyze the right. When they look at the right, then they find a varied bunch of opinion leaders who seemingly have somewhat different views on how the world should be managed. But what they fail to understand is that those viewpoints are different, because they arrived to them on an individual level. They think that those groups could never work together while in truth they can easily - the right has no issue standing behind a Donald Trump, the AFD in Germany, Victor Orban in Hungary, Silvio Mattini in Italy - we see shitlords wherever they are. Some are more shitlordy than others and some encompass our views better, but we understand where the cut-off is between cuck/leftie and shitlord.

The NPC viewpoint simply is puzzled by this.

I have internal monologue to the point of obsession, I think its to much. Does any one else get alot of pain from it? Id love to know how I could have the thoughts but not feel the inherent pain that comes from thinking/seeing things that others dont.

Like the saying ignorance is bliss.
