Do you all know what I just remembered?
I described this about them years ago by saying that they just emote in response to pre-programmed trigger phrases.
There's someone else here on the forum who even put the quote of me saying that in their signature. I forget who but I've seen it a few times.

It used to be called shallow thinkers. It happens when everything is handed to people and they just fit into the herd.

I have internal monologue to the point of obsession, I think its to much. Does any one else get alot of pain from it? Id love to know how I could have the thoughts but not feel the inherent pain that comes from thinking/seeing things that others dont.

See this
REBT thread on how to change your thinking to change your emotions.
Quote:Quote:
Human beings, the authors note, are language-creating animals. We tend to formulate our emotions and our ideas in terms of words and sentences. They effectively become our thoughts and emotions. Therefore, if we are basically the things that we tell ourselves, any type of personal change requires us to first look at our internal conversations. Do they serve us, or undermine us?
Talk therapy aims to reveal the 'errors in logic' that people believe to be true. If, for instance, you are having terrible feelings of anxiety or fear, you are asked to track back to the original thought in the sequence of thoughts that led to your current anxiety. You will invariably find that you are saying things to yourself such as 'Wouldn't it be terrible if...' or 'Isn't it horrible that I am...' It is at this point that you have to intervene and ask yourself why exactly it would be so terrible if such and such happened, or whether your current situation is really as bad as you say. And even if it is, will it last forever?
This sort of self-questioning at first seems naïve, but by doing it you begin to see just how much your internal sentences shape your life. After all, if you label some event a 'catastrophe', it surely will become so. You can only live up to your internal statements, whether they make something good, bad or neutral.
Take care of those titties for me.

I was reading an article in dailywire where the interviewed a bunch of students protesting Ben Shapiro speaking ay their college. When asked why the said his speech was hateful, misogynistic, transphobic, racist etc. When asked what he said virtually every one admitted that the you had not listened to his speeches nor read the transcripts or articles he had written but rather THE WERE TOLD BY SOMEBODY ELSE THAT HE WAS yadda yadda.

Regarding inner monologue: I am an introvert, Is have had sleep problems since childhood, and I was a talented varsity debater. The latter had made me like to know both sides of things and that monologue can seem like more of a dialogue as I go through various options and weigh pros and cons about decisions to be made in my own life.
In a competitive debate we routinely emloyed the Left Flank manoeuver where an opponent would propose a center-left case confident they could pull better scores from the left- leaning juges in the face of our conservative response. Unfortunatly our counter would come from the left. Because they didn't understand the weaknesses of the left, when our case went further left, they couldn't figure out anything to criticix, by definition a stronger come.

I don't think PJW really believes that; I think he's playing it safe to not be called an outright nazi.
Hence he's not a real NPC. A coward, probably, but not a NPC.

I heard it mentioned now also fittingly according to other topics.
The NPC was fired in a previously installed position of power.
They literally work that way.
"When will we have the first female director?"
"We haven't found a female NPC as of yet, but will install the NPC as soon as possible. The NPC Rian Johnson pleased us well, but we may have to re-install him with a NPC of the tribe."

I remember buying an pick-up/self-help e-book years back, probably around 2010, which tried to teach you ways to turn off your inner monologue in order to increase your SMV and social stature.
Essentially, one of its theses was that naturals are NPCish.
I wonder if I still have it somewhere.
