Amazon is unable to ship Tucker Carlson's new book, which criticizes Jeff Bezos

The book has a caricature of Bezos on the cover. The title refers to him as one of the "fools".

So how did sensitive Jeff respond? Tucker explains:

I don't believe in coincidences. After banning a popular book, it's easy to "delay" another.

What's surprising is that Carlson has a mainstream publisher. This means that Amazon has now been converged to the point that they will sacrifice money for their "ideals".

When I get a new supply of paperback books for Game, I will sell it direct instead of relying on any online bookstore. I can no longer trust any business to actually do business.

Love Tucker, and that's my favorite type of communication...

"It's strange...It doesn't make a lot of sense, our publisher is baffled, they're not telling people trying to buy Bob Woodward's book that...we don't know what's going on, we'll let you guess."

Just presenting facts and asking the question, let the viewers do whatever they want with the information.

WallStreetPlayboys sold all their books via PayPal and simply e-mailed the PDF to the buyers. Seems like it worked well and they sold a lot more than expected.

It's a little odd seeing Lyndsey Graham and Mitch McConnell on the cover now that they have somewhat redeemed themselves.

Coincidentally Castalia House, Vox Day's publishing outfit also released a book called 'Ship Of Fools' a few days ago, this one by C. R. Hallpike. It is a complete takedown of evolutionary psychology and reputedly destroys the following books:
Yuval Harari's Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind
Emma Byrne's Swearing is Good For You
René Girard’s theory of learned behavior
William Arens’s The Man-Eating Myth
Noam Chomsky's theory of universal grammar

I'm currently reading another great book by Hallpike titled 'Do We Need God To Be Good'.

I'm sure Tucker has a direct line to Hannity.

Hannity has a direct line to Trump.

Let's see how this plays out.

this sounds good, thanks for bringing it to my attention - I read Sapiens last year and thought it was quite good until I saw it was kinda dismantled by the bones found in Bulgaria and Greece.

I was able to get the book just fine on Kindle. Why would I care if I can't buy a book? I'll just have to move it later.

The best hope also is the Kobo-Walmart deal, although I've not heard much about it lately. Kobo is big in Canada and is connected to other e-book sellers all over the Engiish-speaking world. Here is the most recent news:

I bought this book, based on reading an excerpt on Vox's site. I'm only part way through but it's very interesting.

It was something like #1700 in all Kindle books when I bought it, which was a day or two after it was released. This is a very good rating, and it shows that Castalia House seems to be doing very well. Vox is expanding into more and more forms of media, and he has ideas about making red pill movies. I hope he ends up being a red pill business tycoon.

I too read Sapiens and quite enjoyed it. Thought I was learning a thing or two as well. Then a few weeks later I got the doubts when reading a takedown of Hurari by Vox, followed by excerpts from 'Ship of Fools' and then felt like a fool for being taken in so easily.

Sapiens and Homo Deus are easy, thought-provoking reads that are good springboards for wanting to learn more about their subject-matter. But that's it. Hallpike in particular brutally exposes Hurari as being patently full of shit in a good many of his arguments.

All these censorship games by Amazon are becoming tiresome, but in the wider picture it just hastens their demise. I tend to buy second-hand books from charity shops anyway, it's amazing what you pick up.

I don't agree with everything Amazon does (like banning your book, not paying UK taxes and unfairly undercutting local law abiding businesses, working conditions) but I think this is fair enough. I doubt you'd sell one of the people calling you a rapist's book on your site either and it is the same principle.

I'd be okay with the ole Libertarian argument about Amazon after it was broken up into a bunch of little companies. It's a near monopoly in books right now, and just growing. It needs to be broken up.

Does my site control 50% of all book sales in the United States?

Amazon is clearly in the monopoly/oligopoly category - if the government were not corrupt, then it would either bust the trust or regulate it as an open market similar to energy/water/utilities/telecommunication. You cannot deny someone water just because he voted for Trump or is hated by the ADL.

We knew that they will be clamping down on thought-criminals. And Tucker is even mainstream - that is a bad omen.

They’re not really sacrificing money for their ideas, because their ideas will bring them more money, and more importantly: true power.

Opening borders for low intelligence immigrants will destroy democracy and create a true ruling class. Carlson makes a very good point in his book that only countries with a large middle class can have a democracy. You fill this country with low IQ immigrants and a new system will emerge.

The bright point is that if you’re intelligent and enterprising, there will be ample opportunities for you to take advantage of this shift of power. A return to something more similar to monarchy might be in the future.

I think it can be delayed but not stopped, because the IQ distribution of the world is too lopsided. There are too many low intelligence people to be exploited.

The need for domination is forever there, and these people are there for the taking. Instead of killing everyone and having a world of only Aryans like Hitler wanted, the elites of today want to rule over these people—whether they will be the ones to eventually rule is of course up in the air, and in my opinion up for the taking.

If you can’t invade their countries then let them in your own and rule them that way.

A better solution would be to actually invade their countries, but people dislike war so that’s not possible in a democracy. Perhaps after the West is the no longer a democracy, then the invasions will happen and a world ruled by mostly Europeans will emerge.

There are a lot of possibilities for the future, but best don’t die out, that’s simply not how the world works.

I'm currently reading another great book by Hallpike titled 'Do We Need God To Be Good'.

There was an article I read quite a few years back, about 15 years ago IIRC, about a researcher who found a tribe, somewhere in the Amazon I believe, that communicated only in abstracts. They had no extensive counting system, their numbers after 3 became words like more, few, and many. They used the environment when speaking directions, not directional language. There were many other examples, but it's been so long I can't remember all the details. I've tried to find the article multiple times since, whenever Chomsky's name comes up in conversation, but haven't had any luck. It seemed to be a pretty good beginning to trampling over Chomsky's theory and, IIRC, the researcher himself even attempted a dialogue with Chomsky about his findings and Chomsky shot him down as if his own theory was bulletproof. I'm curious if that book might reference some of that researchers findings.

This is precisely why people should be concerned. Be it because of Roosh's book, Tucker's, or anyone else's. People act like it's an abuse of human rights when a country, like China does this, but when it's a company based in a free nation, suddenly it becomes a "right" of the company to pick and choose whatever they want to sell. While this may be true, to a degree, it becomes a major problem when these companies are so big that they can actually control, and even choke off, the flow of information in much the same way that totalitarian governments do.

Then it comes down to the issue of whether one prefers to have their government control the flow of information, or the private enterprises. I'd like to think most of us here are intelligent enough to know the difference, or the lack of difference, rather. It's the leftists that seem to start foaming at the mouth about it when a "bad" gov't does it, but applaud when their favorite retail and media outlets start telling you what's good, what's right, and only offer what you "should" be consuming.

They want total control, even if it means the end result is another totalitarian system. Totalitarianism, by the people, for the people.

It's also worth mentioning the parallels between the way these companies are handling these sort of things and the way totalitarian gov'ts handle them. China doesn't come out with an announcement and say, "These are the books and media we are banning this year. Here is the list." No, they just add regulations to the policies already in place, and expect them to be enforced, from the top-down, that way by the time they get to the people, few of them know the banned content ever existed in the first place. There is no outcry, at least not enough to be heard, and the general populace goes on about their day as if it never happened, without knowing that the pool of information they have access to is now much smaller. These companies are doing the same thing. No announcement. No fanfare. A delisting here, a shadowban there, and the occasional perfunctory comment about supply chain problems or a vague TOS violation when someone points out something is unavailable. The general populace is none the wiser, and have no idea that their pool of available information just got a tiny bit smaller.

This all started quite a while ago, but a major precedent was set when Alex Jones got hit a much publicized ban hammer from all the major providers. That opened up what I believe is going to be a groundswell of oligopolitical thought-policing and censorship.
