Any good horror flicks you guys enjoyed and recommend?

Last night I finally watched Hereditary. Holy shit, this movie blew me away! This movie and some of the imagery stays with you for quite some time. And Toni Collette knocked it out of the park! Definitively a horror movie of the year for me.

Another good one is The Ritual. A group of male friends go hiking in Swedish countryside to honor their dead friend, then shit goes sideways.

My favorite Horror movie of the past 10 years.

Also, I'm seeing this twice this upcoming week. Once Thursday night and once Friday during the day. Huge Halloween fan.

NSFW NSFW

I don't really watch horror anymore (decided I don't like gore) but my favorite was Cannibal Holocaust

Trailer sucks, people get impaled on stakes and stuff like that.

Here's a metal song about it

Halloween (the original, with Resurrection is guilty pleasure), Nightmare on Elm St (the original and three), The Thing and The Evil Dead Franchise (og/2/Army of Darkness) are my personal favorites.

Hereditary was awesome. Totally kept me on my toes, I did not see that ending coming.

This is a good one, a bit of a hidden gem:

The Conjuring and The Descent are probably my two favorites. The sequels were ok too but nowhere near as good.

Zodiac (if we're talking about Horror, I might include a real case)
Earns my rare no holds barred 10/10. Took a chance on it when it first released on DVD 10 years ago and was riveted.

I think it may be David Fincher's best film and he was absolutely anal about getting the settings/locations and details exact to the real events (the husband asked these exact questions)
