Online income possiblities? what are they?

so if you do not want a day job what are your options today? seems to me theres 5 options

1)doing blogs and travel videos(requires a good camera and a lot of capital to travel, unique videos etc and a good slice of luck
)
2)become a proffesional gambler(very hard) most lose money here

3)work as a salesman or open a online business (very time consuming and sometimes no results))

4) become a professional trader(requires a big capital and atleast 1 or 2 years of studying) risky as hell

5) become a prostitute(works well for ladies not so much for men)

is there any way one can earn money online without investing 1 or 2 years to study and learn the market and without a large capital? how do you earn enough money on a consistent basis that you can live anywhere in the world ? any suggestions? like even 1000 to 2000 USD per month is enough for me

Programming skills that you can keep a business from back home and use it anywhere is the most realistic. Difficult though and can change at any time. I could probably get like 1000 pounds a month from it currently if I were to advertise full time and seek out clients regularly but my regular job makes way too much to even bother with that.

If there are opportunities where you can just turn up and instantly start making the same as working in a basic job they'd be filled pretty quickly.

I know a couple of guys who latched onto big money makers in the past, i.e. there was little to no competition, but even then they had to put in considerable work and were working off their own bat as their was no one to follow.

Just turning up and making decent money from the first or second month is very rare.

For what I do (online) I think I made an average of about $200-300 in the first six months, all of which I spent on paying someone in EE to do work and I was working ~100 / week, every week with no rest.

For most people who start something up themselves that succeeds, they will do something similar.

Only if you can turn up with the right thing in the right place at the right time.

For what I do I'd say I probably had a combined experience of about an equivalent of 6-8 years work in the fields I engaged in. If I didn't have that it wouldn't have been possible to make good decisions or even do most of the work to a good degree.

When I was 16 I set up a few sites and put a fair bit of spare time into them. I had little idea what I was doing in terms of programming, psychology and economics. The models I used for the site were really bad owing that I didn't know any better and had no one around to teach me. Looking back now I can see how I could have made several hundred dollars per month (15 or so years ago) and maybe grown from that. They weren't sites with huge potential, but could have been a good bit of pocket money for a kid.

For those who want to do something online, the best advice for most is get a job somewhere where you will be exposed to seeing how things actually work online in some sphere. I learnt most of what I know via trial and error and observation, but being around people who are experts is key. I got shown the right paths by doing so.

There are plenty of things you can do online, but you need to program, otherwise you're hiring someone else to do your ideas and you have no idea of what they're doing, if they are good etc.

Good thread, similar to mine!

I have a few miserable, crappy ways to pull money out of the Web. PM me if you wish to discuss.

I'm currently working to start something where I can make better money and is more worth my time. As I'm sure you see, this is difficult. In general, It revolves either around selling a skill you have (freelancing), selling a product that you have, or creating content that pulls a lot of traffic and earns you ad revenue. I don't consider trading or gambling, because it is not a reliable earner. I think its fine to do with what you can afford to lose, but everyone needs themselves an earner.
