If there's one thing SJWs like to do is act as casting police. They will give a movie a high-five even if it's shit as long as the casting is diverse (Ghostbusters) and will bash a project if there is some sort of casting violation.

Well, turns out JK Rowling has now been on both sides of the equation here. She didn't get much praise for the Harry Potter movies other than making Dumbledore gay, then she scored some virtue points for blackwashing Hermione. But those points have now been lost.

SJWs giveth, and SJWs taketh away.

The first time I came across all this was when I saw the Wikipedia page for peado-bashing classic, Taken, staring Liam Neeson in around 2013. An SJW outed the film as racist for negative depictions of Albanians and Middle Easterners as sex traffickers. While completely ignoring the depiction of a rich French man as an elite sex trafficker. I deleted it. No doubt the SJW was far more concerned about the negative depictions than the actual reality of Albania and The Middle East being two to of biggest centers for sex trafficking. Just in the same way that the modern left pretends to care more about the cira 2 million people enslaved in America, studiously ignoring the cira 50 million currently enslaved and 100s of millions who were historically enslaved elsewhere, particularly in Afirca.

One of the first things I did on getting back home was deleting almost all my films and TV series. At least I never paid for their pedophile droppings.

This article yet again shows that when you attempt to pander to SJWs, they'll never be satisfied. It started with gay dumbledore, continued with black hermione, and now, nothing is good enough.

BTW, it goes without saying that this article is a TL;DR nightmare. It's patronizing and condescending as if this woman is a college professor issuing grades. Rowling has enough F-U money to go off and live on a desert island like Marlon Brando if she wanted, and with this sort of backseat-driving, I don't know why she doesn't do just that. There's no way, as a white woman, she'll ever meet the approval of SJWs, even though so many SJWs themselves are white women.

BTW, here is the author's goodbye letter to io9 which explains her judgmental writing style:

This affected the Young Adult novel market and not in a good way.

I've been a fan of author Sarah Dessen since I interviewed her about ten years ago. She wrote believable stories about white suburban teens in various modes of crisis.

Even though her books were from a female point of view, she was good at understanding "teen guy" culture, and this especially goes for my favorite of all her books "Along For The Ride," in which the male leads are competitive cyclists.

I've read all of Dessen's books except her newest one, "Once And For All," which I stopped reading about three chapters.

SJW fever seems to have gotten to this author. It felt like the cliched "diverse" cast of characters were picked by a committee, not the author herself. As such, the characters came off as wooden and predictable and the story line itself was not engaging.

(For those of you who never heard of Sarah Dessen, two of her early books were used as source material for the 2003 teen movie "How To Deal," which features Mandy Moore at 18 looking pretty fine, even with short hair.)
