I know this site isn't regarded highly however it's one of the few left that you can message women without a "mutual match".

I was on it maybe 6 months ago and TBH lucked out with an actress/model/etc,

Signed back up today and what the hell happened? 5 messages from bots before I even finished my profile. 2/3 profiles seem fake, how does this site exist?

My assumption is being bought my Match Group they are killing it to migrate users to their more financially successful platforms but I've never seen such a crazy crash in burn of a site in less than 6 months.

Are there any other dating sites that don't require a woman to "like" you to begin a conversation?

Did you know if you put you're age as over 25 though it will hide the under 21s? It will just appear as though there are no women under 21 on the site at all, so you won't know they are being blocked.

match.com did the same thing to OkCupid, they killed off the ability to freely message people and made the website more like Tinder. I think their general strategy is to draw everyone towards Tinder, and then make Tinder P4P for everyone but the top 1% of profiles (it's hard to get matches without Boost these days).

I say what killed it is the number of trannies, fake profiles, and women who are completely not worth the investment. Idk about other states but here its literally 1-5's with 1 or 2 7's and the rest are 10's used as fake profiles. None o the women have conversation skills, most have horrible attitudes, most are somehow stuck up, and most have serious baggage. Pof turned me off of online game, OKcupid used to be nice until they made it like tinder.

BUT THE WORSE THING about pof is the fake message and spam. It's depressing to message ___ amount of women and see a notification saying 1 and that 1 message is a spam message. Even worse is the spam is legit. They talk just like real women, using a "hey there" or "hola" or "Nice profile".

Then it seems every other second I have to block a new Tranny.

I was able to search for and view the profiles of 18-21 yos on my 30+ account. However I couldn't message anyone under age 22.

Must be dismal in 2019. POF was even shitty in 2013/2014, but I got some decent bangs from it. I remember one mediocre POF chick I banged in 2014 told me her inbox was flooded. She almost viewed it as a sick form of entertainment.

Back in 2011, at the eve of the smartphone era, I dated 5 women in one week from PoF.

Getting 5 matches per week on tinder is how smartphone market inflation is working for me now.

POF's AlexaRank (measure of web traffic) has been dropping for some time. Probably only 10-20% of its peak in 2011. And that is with them trying to break into LatAm etc.

As mentioned in another thread, there appears to be more mentions of the phrase "single mother" (and variants) on POF than any other site. Maybe 0.2% of all mentions of the term are on the site.

Pof used to be awesome about 7 or so years ago. I used to go on 3 dates a week for about 6 months.

Its completely dead now with just oldies who don't know about tinder and bumble.
