Does anybody here have an experience working in a US Embassy abroad?
A few years ago I was in a US Embassy and there was a guy doing what seemed like in-processing. Looked military but based on some of his hand tattoos I assumed he was out. This got me thinking about embassy work.
I have looked around online but it seems to be quite tough work to get into, especially somebody who doesn't have a degree. They also seem to hire a lot of locals.
I'm not sure what the paper pushers in there are considered. I see job descriptions but the the descriptions don't match the paper pushers I saw on the inside. Some sort of security detail might be another option.
If anybody has any experience with this, even if it isn't first hand I would appreciate the info.
