Info on Orlando?

I have a job opportunity coming up later this year in Orlando. I don't know anything about the city but my gut reaction is I'd hate it. However, this job will pay really well and probably take me to the next financial tier I'm shooting for.

I would probably hold this position for at least 2 years if not longer, so my long term goal would be to buy property that I could rent out once I do eject from Orlando and move onto the next gig.

Anyone lived there than can provide some insights about local chicks, lifestyle, real estate?

Vegas. Money-wise it would be a step up.

There's plenty of realestate opportunities in florida. Less flippers now then there were a year or two ago but if you look hard you can get a good deal. You can find a decent rental house in a lower income area outside of Orlando in the suburbs for 35-80k depending on how much work it needs and how hood it is. Some of these areas have been dramatically cleaned up in recent years compared to 10 years.

Orlando area has some of the absolute BEST schools in the state of florida. The florida education system is pretty fucked in general, but the areas surrounding Orlando are generally decent places to raise a family because the schools are so much better than other areas. So if you are looking to spend 275k-300k and up for places (or less if it needs a lot of work) you can look up some of the better high schools in the area shop for family homes by those high schools. As far as rentals go though you'd be better off with the lower income areas though but the upper middle class clientele would bring you less head aches if you plan on traveling,or work 80 hours per week.

If you are down to make a drive and deal with major headaches, but want to make a business out of this the major vacation areas would be a good option and give you the higher end clientele + better profit margins. If you think you can handle managing properties that are a 2-3 hour drive you can get some decent multiplexes in vacation areas for similar prices as a middle class home in a nice part of Orlando. They just won't be updated, and are much older construction. When I say vacation area i'm not talking Miami. The rest is up to you on what area i'm talking about.

Florida has a lot of new development happening in areas that used to be ghetto as shit so if you can think ahead and find out which cities are cleaning the area up in you could buy in those areas, update them (granite counter tops, wooden cabinets, etc) rent it out,and wait for property values to go up then sell.

Florida girls run down

-College chicks and community college chicks. A lot of people go to community college because certain ones have feeder programs to the better state schools so even if you aren't right by ucf you might still be around a decent college girl population.

-shit like salt life and random fishing brands are big. There's to many fucking kooks running around in these fucking salt life shirts, and costas. Its like all these guys traded in ed hardy and tapout shirts for fishing brand shirts and lifted trucks these days. That's the dbag 'look' that girls who like 'dbags' go for. I remember when it was just dudes who ran charters, and worked on docks rocking random no name fishing shirts but now its become a fashion statement for the general population to look cool in. If you wanna rock t-shirts stick to,plain, or if you wanna get the brand seeking college chicks brooks bros or vineyard vines are pretty dope. Rl is decent, but its not the same as it was back when i was rocking midcalfs with sperries....its really common and screams 'fuck boi' so you vineyard vines or brooks bros UNLESS its a ralph lauren button up/longsleeve polo. And I stopped buying sperries after people stopped hating on me for rocking them with the nike mid calves, and recommend you don't wear them either because all the losers started wearing them now. Go for something better like Sebago loafers. And don't wear them with nike midcalves unless you played D1 lacrosse in college.

-Hicks. Most don't know this but florida has a lot of farms and weird shit. Half of florida is actually zanezville ohio. You'll run into girls from weirld places like plant city.
-Tourists. They're pretty easy. Just ask them where they're from and if its Zanesville Ohio act like that's a cool place and just talk about how you moved here from vegas for business and they'll think its cool as fuck that you used to live in vegas but now you live in florida. The farmers daughters and Michigans are jealous that you get to live here so that plays to your favour. Know your area like the back of your hand and show them around. They'll be into basic shit like the dolphins and sunset. Just watch out for the underage girls who will LIE about their ages after running off from their families. The first rule of florida tourist game is know how old she is.
-People are generally friendly, and like to bullshit in the sunshine. People usually say hello in the streets and its not strange to talk to people during the day time so day game can be easy. If you live in the city of Orlando I fucking hate them as a company but posting up in front of a starbucks isn't a bad idea.

did u get a job as goofy in disney world, lol? (this is a line from swingers)

I've heard its easy to hookup with disney employees if u also work there, lots of college interns.

But yea, focus on the college girls at UCF and other community colleges in the area. There are also lots of tourists.

Did u go to the Harry Potter ride, heard it was cool?

I've visited buddies at UCF and let me tell you there's a ton of hoes there. It's not a very hard school to get into and has damn near 60k students so there's bound to be stunners.

As far as quality of life I can't help you there. If it's just a year or so it could be very fun, between all the theme parks and being close to the beach and everglades. I think there's a bunch of forum members there too, hopefully they can chime in too.

Lots of fat chicks that got pregnant while in high school who have no baby daddy. (not lying).. But, by UCF on the other hand a lot women are sluts and fairly easy.. Well that goes for most women in Orlando in my opinion. Downtown can be a hit or miss. Severely depends on what is going on there. I would go out by universal studios or somewhere like that. Your better off there because plenty of foreign women coming in looking to have a good time an most they are staying at the hotels that you just take a little boat trip too [Image: smile.gif] good luck mate

Traffic on 1-4 is bad. Even the middle of the day on a Sunday at 3pm on 1-4 is bumper to bumper traffic. I don't know of any place in the State of Florida that has worse traffic than Orlando. It has been like that for over 15 years.

Consider traffic on where you live and work.

Real estate is good but prices are rising. I'd definitely rent right now to start for the first year.

Not me unless I worked in the area. Again traffic is bad.

Orlando is wack IMO. It doesn't really have any culture and it's for a little amount of time but when I left I was glad because of how boring it was. If this only a two year thing though you'll be fine just the right amount of time to do everything and leave after. I grew up in suburb outside of Orlando and still have a family house in Pine Hills. Pine Hills used to be super hood but like other people and saying this neighborhood and alot of the other bad neighborhoods are getting alot better.

On that note Orlando has so much to do any Disney is an international destination so it's always popping. You also have an NBA team MLB team universal studios seaworld and lots of shopping and are not too far from beaches. I think it would be a great place for real estate especially because it's getting nicer.

Like someone else said everything is far in Orlando. It's a 30 minute drive for all of these things you can do. But I would say Vegas is like that so you probably don't care. What sucks is for nightlife you have downtown Orlando universal city walk and the tourist zone and the UCF area. I live in tampa and always tell the fam to visit me if we want to have fun going out. First everything closes at two. Also if one place sucks you can't leave and go to another part of the town... unless you want to waste like 30 minutes which kinda sucks. Vegas has this place destroyed in that regard.

For the girls I'm not to big on. You have Ucf of course so lots of girls in the area so lots to pick from. If you're going out over there they're gonna be super young like 18. Once again in Tampa the girls are way more hot and most rich. Yes the international workers they bring in for the Disney internship are hot and horny so that's something to look at there. Its super strict and they cant even bring alcohol in their dorms so whenever i see them on tinder they are always trying to get away. Overall though in Vegas chicks come to party and have fun. Girls who come to Disney with their family aren't coming to go crazy. It's happened but overall they're going to be with their fam.

You can book direct flights from Orlando to Colombia for a decent price. I want to say mechanico told me there's a fairly large population of Colombians in Orlando, which makes sense.

You want to know the only thing you can assume about a broken down old man? It's that he's a survivor.

Info on Orlando?

Lots of correct info about Orlando here regarding houses, the women, and the traffic. I've lived around central Florida basically my whole life, and here's my take on it.

-As far as a place to live, you have Orlando(downtown) If you work downtown the extra money for rent is worth it, since like previous comments the traffic on I-4 is terrible as they're redoing the entire road and it's suppose to take years to finish.

-North of Orlando(Altamonte area) is a good choice as downtown is a short drive south, and decent prices. However the drawback is leisure, its a far drive from anything fun.

-West of downtown you have metro-west, some areas are ghetto and some are ok. Close to downtown and also not far from the theme parks.

-East of Orlando is closer to UCF, but besides the school, Waterford lakes area theres not much around there to do.

-South of Orlando you have the theme parks, Kissimmee area. Prices of homes and apartments here have been rising and rising. They're building mostly multi bedroom apartments to supply the need of low wage theme park workers, and recently because of the hurricanes, Kissimmee already had one of the largest populations of Puerto Ricans, but now there's a ton more moving here which is raising demand.

Now, as far as game and women in the central Florida area, here's my opinion, and I'd like to go in a little more detail. A year or two would be a great time frame to really have some fun, as Orlando does get old after a while, most people that live here prefer Tampa or Miami.

-Downtown Orlando. As far as nightlife, its average. Problems include ratios as there's always a ton of dudes downtown and never enough chicks. I can't really give good advice on each bar or club, but some nights( Taco Tuesdays at wall st are good, Wednesdays has wine-down Wednesdays as Kasa, everyone dresses nice and lots of hot girls having all you can drink wine, after that people go to chillers to continue drinking. Thursdays a little south of Orlando on OBT a place called Cowboys has a great ratio as it's ladies night.)

-However each night theres always something going on, especially over on International Drive, which is a 15 min drive south of downtown. Lots of bars and restaurants filled with tourists. Prices are high, but the best thing to do is check the schedule of the Orange County Convention center. They have conventions that include bodybuilding(europa), Zumba, surfing, makeup, etc. I talked to a doorman at one of the bars on I-drive, and asked whens the best night of the week to come in. He said "It varies man, depends on the conventions in town. A random night it will be filled with hot Zumba instructors, other nights a bunch of older fatter women in town for an accounting convention or something." You can use Tinder here, sometimes you'll fins some bored women stuck here for work for the week and just want to have fun.

-UCF(University of Central Florida)- Like a previous poster said this school is huge, about 65,000 students, and just by numbers alone there's so many girls. Theres only a few college bars around there(Knight Library is one). You can catch some UCF girls downtown, but it's about a 20-25 min drive so you have to factor that into account.

-Community colleges, Valencia has a couple campuses, but I don't really go around there too often.

- Theme parks and tourists. Yes, it's mostly families around the area, but there's no shortage of women to meet. Since a 1-2 year time frame in Orlando, theres lot's of people coming and going so that's nice. Universal is more geared towards adults, and City Walk( the area you walk before you get into Universal/IOA, has some bars and stuff but rarely gets packed, only maybe during Halloween Horror Nights( A great place to bring girls to by the way).

-Theres a ton of hotels around the Lake Buena Vista area, in the summertime I like to just walk through and chill at the pools and try to hang out and meet girls on vacation. I use Tinder a lot, since girls come and go quickly and are mostly with family, you have to act fast. I could go in depth more with Tinder in Orlando but I don't want to get sidetracked.

-DISNEY is where it's at, specifically the Disney internship program. As someone said before, it's an internship that has lots of young good looking girls from all over the world. It is hard to get in there as they have a curfew, but here's a quick rundown. I could probably write a whole data sheet on this as I would recommend any college aged guy to do one semester of the internship.
-It's basically shit work(quick service food, janitorial, some get chill lifegaurd jobs, etc. But you apply and get accepted easily, and most programs run about one semester(the international programs run longer). But heres the gold mine. Since most guys think Disney is lame, very few men apply. So the ratio is amazing. You have girls from all over the world(All over the US, Brazil, New Zealand, Japan, Norway, the list goes on.) They're already adventurous as they are ok with traveling by themselves, and show up and live in a few apartment complexes with no friends or family to judge them. All the CP's do is work a bunch, drink and party. There's even certain nights they do stuff(A thing on Mondays where they go to as bar in teams of their country and get wasted and hook up. One of the apartment complexes rumor has it had to cement in the hot tub bc so many people were having sex in it. Playboy also supposedly ranked one of the complexes as the number #1 place to get laid(I can't confirm this as it was said years ago). The best part is there's an abundance of girls and basically no guys. Girls actually complain there's not enough guys, and if there is, they're mostly nerds or gay.

-Also at Disney, at Wide World of Sports they have many tournaments(volleyball softball, etc) It's good to check their schedule to see whats coming into town. Actually a couple times a year they even have the world cheerleading championships. College cheerleading teams from the US and even other countries stay at a Disney Resort and compete at Wide World of Sports. Imagine a whole hotel filled with nothing but hot cheerleaders haha. I didn't even realize they had that but one day I was on Tinder and I saw hot cheerleader after hot cheerleader. It's hard to get them outside of their event though, they only have like one or two nights to venture out.

-Other random things I've found out. The hotel inside the Florida Mall is where all the flight attendants stay from Orlando International Airport. I met one off Tinder and she snuck me up to her room. They're usually not allowed to venture out, but I'm guessing the hotel bar and pool is a good place to hang out once I a while. It's hard filtering out the girls that are on vacay and want to meet up, but it can happen. I knew a guy who worked at Fun Spot Orlando( it's a smaller type theme park with small rides and go-karts.) He would pick up single moms there on vacation all the time hitting on them when they were in the go-kart line.

-Outside of Orlando you do have the redneck type people(Lakeland, etc) And theres actually a lot of Brazilians along with Hispanics that live around here. Tampa is about an hour, hour and a half drive which is nice, Again lots of people prefer Tampa over Orlando, and vice versa, the grass is always greener on the other side, as they say. You can go to the beach in about an hour drive as well, Daytona and Cocoa are nice.

I would not recommend Orlando as a place to live for long, but it has its benefits. Hope this info can help.

Was thinking of moving to Miami but I think Orlando could also be a good choice. It has a decent metro population 2mill+ and an hour away from Tampa which also has a 2m+ metro area. Both have some decent college girl populations with Orlando having the biggest school in the country (ucf). Attractiveness wise how do girls in Orlando and Tampa compare to Miami?

I spent nearly a month in Orlando, and had some good times the past few weekends Downtown. As mentioned, UCF has a lot of potential, with girls from all over the state flocking there. The bar scene is hit or miss, with times you will catch tourists getting away from kids/family visiting Disney for a night on the town (as I did with my buddy), and other times it being a sausage fest.
