Slickdeals - We always want the best price
Gas Buddy - check gas prices in your area
Credit Karma - free credit score and alerts
Robinhood - Trade stocks with no transaction fee
Hours Keeper - When I'm doing IT work by the hour, a great way to track for billing
iCatcher - hands-down the best podcast app for iOS, allows importing of regular mp3 files so you can use it for audiobooks as well (Roosh's books!)

Not technically apps, but extensions for Chrome:
uMatrix - very advanced ad blocker. It blocks everything, so Chrome only downloads the text of a page. This massively speeds up the internet on slow connections, and prevents any kind of cross-site tracking (Google, etc.). However, you need to know how to unbreak websites if you plan on using this. Mostly only for guys who have some coding or web development skills.
Dark Reader - dark background mode for every website.
DOM Distiller Reading Mode - reformats the page into a reading mode, similar to other browsers but not yet vailable in Chrome.

Kiddoware blocker. It's an android app that allows you to block other apps without the need for rooting. I use it to block social apps and web browsers to keep focused.
From the name, you can guess it is marketed towards parents to control their kids, so every time I reactivate it, I have to intentionally forget the pin I just entered by doing maths in my head.
