Positive, feel good music to listen to

After reading Roosh's thread on the 'My Way' song, and how he listens to older music, I thought I'd try a few different genres.

Now, call me crazy... but... I've been getting into country music (e.g. 'Hot Country' on Spotify).

This is completely different to anything else I've listened to before, I've been a hardcore electronic / techno head for most of my life, hitting up clubs in Berlin and bush doofs and so on for 20+ years.

I listen to Country music on the way to work and I feel... more positive, it makes me smile. The music is upbeat, fun, and has a kind of innocence to it - it's songs about liking living in the country, the fresh air, falling in love, usually there is some kind of positive story.

Anyway, give it a try. It's certainly more upbeat than the doom and gloom economic crash or Stefan Molyneux podcasts I normally listen to.

Great idea for a thread.

Sometimes I wish I could listen to Molyneux/other podcasts and music at the same time, because there aren't enough hours in the day for them all:

Tell me you're not singing along to the chorus and I'll call you a liar, I discovered this this year:

For example:

Themes - country living, simple life, happy life, clean/open spaces, etc. (Not living in a shithole city).

and

Themes - Friend zoned beta orbiter wants to bang his oneitis. (Still, more positive than banging club sluts).

"This song is from the perspective of a small town guy who is ready to take the next step with a small town girl he's known forever"

In a way, this genre is the modern version of those love-able innocent songs from the 50's and 60's.

Most famously used in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, but fantastic here too:

I've been getting into Genesis for the past month. The Phil Collins era stuff (1983-1992) is quite great.

Very underrated Britpop (at least here in the States. We seemed to like Oasis more).

Off topic but I don’t listen to music with lyrics that often. Mostly the songs are full of beta shit.

I knew, that some Avicii exists/existed and could recognize some of his songs on radio. But few weeks ago, I realized the most of his songs are gems of positive music and I began to listen to him a lot.

Creedence Clearwater Revival is my goto feel-good, care-free music. Nothing like some good 'ole deep-southern rock from the 60's/70's.

This stuff makes me want to drop cello and take up guitar. But then, who says you can't get wild with a cello:
