I don’t care what anyone says I’m positive Cardguy got banned for inventing screen doors.

Waiting for the next reincarnation of Travel Museums. Should be interesting.

The guy had a penchant for posting will drunk and then he went on a full-blown libertarian meltdown.

It's easy to find, just check his post history.

Highly outspoken libertarian that used to hit the booze and then the keyboard. Got into it a bit much with one of the worse political wankers on the forum but couldn't keep his conduct clean enough.

I was sad to see him go.

I talk to Brewdog on a weekly basis, he’s still drinking like a fish and working out in the ocean somewhere.

I wasn't around to follow the whole BrewDog saga from the beginning. I just caught the tail end of it.

We exchanged some PMs, and I won't divulge what they were about, because these really were personal. He was a very real guy. A bit of a shitlord in fact. Probably too much of a shitlord to start off with on this forum.

I vaguely remember he used to comment on some military kinds of threads and kind of got called out. He never pretended to be ex-military or to have done real service, but he did some other stuff in the capacity of border control? Was that it? I'm going from pure memory here. Might be totally wrong.

Anyway, he liked a drink, as can be witnessed by his handle and the fact he would often stick the words 'beer run' in to some of his posts, only to appear an hour later, obviously after doing his beer run, and getting stuck in again to whatever thread he was arguing in.

He was a pretty intelligent guy. The fact he commented on a lot of military threads, well, I can't say why that is because of certain confidences. But let's just say he had certain vested interests. Let's leave it at that. He never made himself out to be anything he wasn't, though he was an over-opinionated asshole at the best of times. It's why I liked him. It's also probably why he got banned.

He did get several warnings. He didn't care. It's hard for some of us to understand, but some men join this forum, and even though they respect us, and ultimately are one of us, they know that life is short, and that they don't really care if they are around for ever.

Card Guy was before my time here. But I think he envisioned his own demise didn't he? And he wasn't bitter about it either when the time came. He took it like a champ with magnanimity. The little I know of it anyway.

BrewDog didn't actually commit forum suicide, but he certainly was reckless after several warnings. He didn't care. This was no disrespect to the forum. It was just his personality. Again, some men just check in here for a bit, knowing nothing ever lasts for ever. They burn bright, then they burn out. We should be grateful for them. These aren't fucking shitheel libs or bitches trying to score a small point. They come to chew the fat, tell it like it is, and who knows, maybe make a few friends along the way they can still keep in touch with later.

Aliblahba did ok for himself, it seems. Loved that guy to bits.

Another ex-forum member worth mentioning is Conscious Pirate. Again, we exchanged a few PM's. We even talked in real life. Won't say what any of it was about. He was true to himself and in a way reminded me a bit of the BrewDog persona with his 'don't give a shit if I get banned' attitude.

Rough diamonds.

He was a very real person. With very real problems (as he openly stated here on this forum - he was a fearless guy). He was funny as fuck as well. In that kind of abrasive, testing down-under kind of way. I liked him a lot and still do. Hopefully he's reading this and will give me a call some time. And if he doesn't then I'll call him.

I've sailed close to the wind with getting banned. I'm not in a position to second guess Roosh or any other moderators. One thing I will say though, and this is great credit to this forum and the mods, be they Roosh or someone else, I got very clear warnings about what I had done, direct quotes, and reasons why it would not be tolerated. There was no mistake.

I always consider myself to be skating on thin ice here with my volatile personality type (I'm not volatile in real life, but on a forum, it's easier). This is different to the other shitlord attitudes of the BrewDogs and Conscious Pirates (who probably would have preferred to not get banned at the end of the day - they did love this forum a lot and it gave them value and they did give a decent amount of value back).

I honestly try to treat this forum and its members with the greatest of respect. And I hold Roosh himself in even higher regard again, because he created the thing and has kept it going and made something special of it. I say that unreservedly.

I'll just finish up by saying, guys like BrewDog or Conscious Pirate had some very real demons to deal with, some they shared wider with the forum, some they kept to themselves. Yeah, they liked a drink, but they never chatted shit. They were always together and prescient. Much more than I am half the time, when I 'go to that place' (which I am trying more and more not to go to these days). They were never mean or spiteful. They always displayed great humour and depth of wisdom. Even though they did wind up many forum members with their attitudes sometimes. They were just ordinary men, and didn't pretend to be anything else. You can trust guys like this.

Yes, they were their own men. They knew what they were doing. And they will have taken responsibility for it.

I can't speak for anyone else. But you did ask about BrewDog. This was my 'experience' of him. He was certainly very confrontational and argumentative. He could also be quite funny. As could CP.

You see another side of people, even with PMs, not to mention phone calls, compared to text on a screen forum stuff. Real life is even more 'real' again, I imagine.

An internet forum is a certain type of medium. It's a 'Wild West' of sorts, and decorum has to be maintained. Thoughts and attitudes become more focused and rational when dealing specifically with one person. PM to PM, Phone call to Phone Call, Face to Face.

But still, that's the them rules of the games boys. Don't play if you don't know them! And don't be disappointed if those threads don't go in the direction you were hoping for, when you get it wrong.

I might be wrong, but it seems to me that some of the most well-regarded posters that are no longer with us, knew exactly what they were doing and what they were letting themselves in for. I can't speak for the others.

If all this forum did was provide a springboard for these men to meet other like minded souls, then I would say it has achieved its objective, magnificently.

And all the more reason to praise Roosh for creating, maintaining and evolving it.

EDIT: Suits, Lenny, scotian - yeah that's what I meant. (didn't see your posts before I went off on my ramble)

No, he bitched about it behind the scenes like a girl.

Then he went back to living a life of zero self-improvement while insisting that he could sleep with 8's if only he wanted to.

VolandoVengoVolandoVoy was unbanned then re-banned. There was also a Turkmen guy called Jesus Christ who came here in December 2015, made over 100 posts showing extreme familiarity with the Manosphere, then got banned. He's since been unbanned, but he hasn't posted since.

An old board I used to hang on had a good way to deal with bans. You had normal suspensions, bans and perma bans.

If you got banned, you could pay $10 to unban yourself. ($10 being the registration fee.) There were some members that were just cash cows for the board.

If you were really obnoxious you got perma banned and couldn't re-reg.

VVV is unbanned again. Why is that?

Also, what was Jesus unbanned?

I no longer understand the ban policy here.

I thought I imagined that when BrewDog was banned and unbanned. I think I even said when he was banned that I thought he was already. I liked the guy but he asked for it. Same with Conscious Pirate. They knew the rules and were warned. I'd still like to meet CP, I don't live far away. I gave my number to another member to pass on but never heard anything.

Re: Jesus Christ. You don't see the humour in Jesus Christ being unbanned?

I suspect believe he will return when the time is right.

Anabasis to Desta. Although I heard that guy wasn't even Ethiopian, but some white dude from the South. Was told this by another banned member so who the fuck knows.

Yeah, he was white. And he was from the south. He was also a Test Pilot for Nasa. Chewed tobacco and spat it in a cup in the back of his pick-up truck (when he wasn't flying hyper-sonic projectiles).

Or so another banned member told me.

I don't know.

(Isn't pretending you are Ethiopian* a bit like pretending you are the IRT when you are actually a white chad from the south, and you do actually fly test missions for Nasa? Then again, he was a trained helicopter pilot. One day we'll find out all these people are just the same person. My money is on little dark)

But yeah, who the fuck knows.

I want to believe.

* No offense to Ethiopians.

What does IRT mean in this forum? Surely not In Real Time or In Reference To.

Indian Race Troll. He was an Indian guy who kept signing up here in the early days of the forum asking the same questions about how to get White girls, and he's since become a meme.

Thanks! Most of the time, Urban Dictionary solves such problems for me, but I guess RVF is not covered fully there yet.

There was a glitch in the system where some banned members bought gold status or whatever its called before they were banned and when the purchase went through, they were unbanned. At least that’s what I believe happened to Brewdog and VVV, who was also a solid poster.

Wow, it's like the newer members missed out on an entire era.

Someday, the community may not have any remaining members who witnessed the Ascension of LittleDark. We need to make a record of these happenings and fill a book with them, a book that can passed on to future generations.

Cardguy's philosophy was antithetical to the forum, but everyone loved him because he had a curious and restless mind that could take people with him wherever he went, and as a result, he couldn't help but derail threads, it was his nature, and no matter how many warnings he got, he kept doing it.

He had a blog for a while, and posted on an English MGTOW forum until it folded. I interacted with him in the comments of his blog, but could only get any play if I issued a challenged his knowledge of obscure topics: What three magicians in the last ten years have revolutionized magic?

There is a thread about his response to being banned, and it looks like the final straw was he couldn't stop talking about hypnosis in a non-hypnosis thread.

thread-36841.html

He was pretty much a misanthrope, and he once posted a video of his new hero (couldn't find it) and it was a vid of a guy who hated everybody, including his wife, and wanted to stay obscure and alone.

This kid is what I think cardguy was like. And the vicar is forum mods:
