If you had a year left in college to learn any skills so that you could make income that supports a lifestyle of travel immediately following graduation... what would it be and why?

Not much you can learn in one year to open the pandoras box for traveling and living abroad.

You mainly need money to start traveling immediately after college.

So id suggest saving as much as you can during that last year of college.

I would also learn a language for what ever region you wanna visit / live in.

Only other thing I can think of is to start on an internet business, but good luck getting that up and running enough in one year to just travel off of.

If you lean towards the IT side, learn one of the latest web programming languages so you can pick up contracts / freelance along the way.

It is possible to learn a set of skills within a trade that will allow you to work in various parts of the country. While it may not give you a high paying job it does give you the flexibility to travel and pick up work.
